So this only starting happening about afew weeks ago, it seems like for no reason, my assist will be called out when I don't want them out, this is always the worst possible thing to happen, it ether ruins the combo i'm on or gets me double snapped, you can imagine how frustrating that can be.
And before you ask, no I am not mashing or even "playing aggressively." I have no idea what could be causing this, and apparently i'm the only one having this problem, so its something i'm doing wrong.

Here's it happening in my latest game, you can hardly see Robo-fortune's bum peaking out over Beowulf, as you can see this cost me the game.

And here's me testing in in training mode.

Also on a side note thank you to the coders of this website for making a draft save that saved my life this post.
So yeah help please.

I think there's a few frames of leniency when calling assists (I want to say it's 3 frames). So even if you aren't hitting the buttons simultaneously, maybe you're hitting them close enough together that you're getting assist? That's the only thing I can't think of but it's impossible to determine from those images unfortunately.

Yeah I was thinking that could be the only explanation, but what I don't get is why it only starts happening now, ether way i'm guessing the only way to stop this from happening is train to hit the buttons slower?
