Make friends, not war! A new tournament arises to promote game inclusivity and comradery for the benefit of the fighting game community.

Spurred by West Coast Warzone 4's decision to forgo allowing side tournaments or BYOC (bring your own console) areas, West Coast Peace Rally was born; its mission, to support any game that people arrive to play.

Games confirmed to have a tournament include:
  • Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R - PS3
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes - Dreamcast
  • Skullgirls Encore - PS3
  • Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire - Arcade board (supports PS3 and 360 controllers)

Additional games that will have a presence include:
  • Lethal League - (PC, courtesy of @Verdant Brave and @Midiman)
  • Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code (tentative, PC, courtesy of Numakie and/or Nostalgic)
  • That Game You Like - (Courtesy of YOU, if you decide to bring it! Don't be shy.)

West Coast Peace Rally kicks off on September 6 at 3PM PST, courtesy of Ultimate Gaming Center in Panorama City, CA. Entry fees are $5 for admission, and an additional $5 per tournament. For directions, questions, RSVPs, and general discussion, turn your attention to the original thread! [prebreak][/prebreak]

This sounds really cool! Let me know how it goes, as I can't really go there seeing as how I'm on the opposite end of the country lol.

WCW4 disallowed side tournies? that is super lame.

Why is WCW not allowing side tournaments or BYOC?

I really wish I could make it there. Might be my first time to actually show up to one of these things, if for no other reason than to have fun despite my shit-tier skill.

Also, I love that Lethal League is being recognized as a fighting game. I was worried that people would brush it off to the side after I saw Totalbiscuit's video, but it looks like that's not going to be the case. Which is good. :)

I pretty much bought the game for everyone in the Skullgirls IRC channel. I'm definitely going to bring it to this, no matter how late I get there.

I'm not familiar with Lethal League. Seems like a fighter crossed with Pong?
