Parasoul Filia Double
so to summarize. i can do
Double snaps.
combos
resets.

i think the main trouble is matchups and actually getting in with filia but once i do i can stay in.
Notes:

find out the best way for filia to get in
Hypo: use jump j hp then air dash j hp then use iad j mp for staying in.

now for fortune. i have problems using j lk into axe kick.... i need to do that but you can't under iad j lk so when's the appropiate timing?

filia i also have to do more resets and most likely more crossunders but how?

http://www.twitch.tv/clawsandeffect/b/524392953

did a set with dawn111.

so far my weakness in the matchup consist of grabs. and panicking in the corner. i see

i also noticed i could've double snapped after s mk but i chose for s hp for no reason and THEN used snap which was stupid of me.

also i noticed that my fortune seemed a bit "scared" when fighting squigly. i know i can do headless but i don't know when to use nom effectively.

ok fought red savarin's fortune and learned an important tip for headless fortune.

I need to do the filia tech at some point to get the muscle memory down.

aside from that i need to be more ambiguous whenever i do resets and i got to learn to switch my tempo a bit better when matches get down to the wire

youre welcome for that tip btw

hit me up if you need help with fortune, I know a lot more than I use in game.

ran half a set vs a guy named moo and got my clocks CLEANED.

val's reset with j mk canceled by j hp lets her land fast BUT it also can cross sides.....virtually hard to blockable and pretty your best bet would be to mash with meter. but even still you're fucked.. is there a way out of it? we'll see

http://www.twitch.tv/clawsandeffect/c/4212707 ran a set with luweewu

i still don't understand how j hk from filia is not connecting with c lk.

i didn't present much chance to reset with fortune nor filia because either i would catch his assist or i would kill with my combo....... i need more thoughts on the matter and i need to look at the gameplay more.

@Luweewu

I noticed that when I play on my PS3 there is a slight 2-3 fram lag and it causes me to mess up combos compared to my pc... i play on a super small CRT Tv so theres no input lag on it idk if its a ps3 problem or what

ok i'm still using stick and sometimes my dashes don't come out....this is rediculous
I... have the exact same problem, and have for months.

No idea what to tell you to fix it, but at least you're not the only one.

I do all of my airdashes with buttons (actually, I do them with macro 1, which is set to lp + hp), and my ground dashes with stick.

Yes, I know that's weird.

The fact that I do things that way is probably reason enough to consider not doing things that way.

I call assist 1 (pillar, in my case) "manually" with mp + lk.

Yes, I use Val/Para/Bella.

I manually do assist 1, and set the macro for assist 2.

Yeah, sometimes I get a mp that I don't want as well as the Pillar. I started using the dash macro back when I played solo, and the occasional accidental normal beats trying to relearn every air combo. Not like I wouldn't sometimes make mistakes getting an accidental normal when button-dashing, anyways.

i might take ya suggestion cause i used to do that. i just feel that whenever i want to do my cross under my dash just doesn't come out and its beginning to become a problem when chasing peacock :P

Yea i noticed since systems have to go through a tv its a bit longer of a input lag with pc is the same but depends on the TV and setup you got... try to get the smallest CRT TV possible... hopefully someone has one outside their front door

GGs man, it was an honor, sorry for the lag conditions. I'm sure I'm more used to it than you guys... (I have like... no choice T_T)

ok having one serious problem. dashing on 1p side.
@KhaosMuffins @WingZero or any other stick user....do you guys stick dash or button dash for IAD? if not then how the hell do you do it consistently?

other than that went a set against mandragora and like 3-5 in his favor....what kept catching me was beat extend and one question through my mind appears after beat extend can i attack or do i keep guarding?

I'm not a stick player but I played on keyboard for a week when the pc version came out, and back then I used 99 for my iads

I button dash for IAD, but 956 also works, and is an input you'll want to learn if you ever want to play Guilty Gear or BlazBlue on stick.

I JUST FIGURED IT OUT! omg i just went into training mode and just did 96 and i freaking iad
OMG I"M SO HAPPY

I'm a stick user and I'm pretty sure most stick users play like this:

On the ground or right before landing or recovering from something, stick dash. In the air, button dash. So all iad is a button dash.

The reason is because in the air, canceling normals from stick dash is difficult. Also getting as low as possible iad is difficult with stick dash. HOWEVER, stick dash has a buffer time whereas button dash doesnt... Or has way less buffer time.

So when i need to buffer my dash but dont know EXACTLY when the dash will come out such as after blocking something or after i recover from something or when landing... I use stick dash for the increased buffer time.

When doing iad or air combos though, no buffer is needed since there is nothing being recovered from. Only movements or moves being canceled.

Pad players tbqh are much more prone to use button dashes exclusively... Cause pad is bad for the stick dashes sometimes.

Hope that helps.

i was a pad player......well....get ready to laugh but an ANALOG PLAYER LOL so i thought learning stick would be interesting. does blazblue allow button dash?

ASW fighters, including BlazBlue, do not have button dash. That said, aside from IAD, they also don't have the situations where you'd use button dash (except for maybe Jin's ground-dash cancelable 6C and 5D).

No button dash in BB. It serves to slow the game basically. Also air dashes arent used much in BB because they have fixed ranges that they have to go... So you have to overshoot your opponent... Or be very far away from them which makes them more predictable to AA. Unless you are in the corner... Cause then the airdash cant be overshot.
