I actually was able to go up a mountain in nocternia because the mountain was angled that you can scale it without a Skell.
 
Just started my copy today, taking a break to let the gamepad recharge in the dock before I head back in.

Need a little advice; should I finish the Chapter 3 Story Mission or go off and complete the Optional Mission I found on the way out titled Myles to Go. The optional one seems like quite a ways off and I switched to Pathfinder Class to complete it as I knew I would be taking a long walk/run to do so.

So, found Myles to go and got it done easily.

Now the one with Connor and his Com device surrounded by a pair of level 30 Grells is annoying til I get a lot more levels in me.
 
Not really. You can just jump up to the ledge during the night when they're asleep and their vision is reduced. slowly inch up to the item from different angles till you get it. Once you get it, you're golden. You're not meant to fight them, its meant to teach you ways of avoiding the super high level threats the game throws at you.
 
You know what's fun

When you're taking out certain stuff for a quest and Lin uses trash talk to aggro the level 70 tyrant that 's nearby.

Either way we can all agree that Lin is worst girl and Alexa should've been the main Skell mechanic girl.
 
Ah, but I tend to be far enough away that Super Monkey Boy has not been drawn in yet. Stretchy leg boys tend to drop into my fights more often
