Your game of the year

The last of us would be my favourite game of the year, even though it has been a while since I last played.

I almost forgot aside from The Last of Us being my GOTY, I wanted to note that Dead Rising 3 was a personal favorite of mine. People may not like the game, but I felt the game's story and gameplay was pretty good(even if it was for the xbone).

It's The Last of Us.

Second best game of the year is harder for me. I'm trying to remember what else I played in 2013. It's hard to remember what I was playing in, like, January. I guess my runner up would be Ni No Kuni.

Ni No Kuni is a very close second place. It being a cell-shaded game is more than enough to be a GOTY contender. Cell-shading is just something I wish there was more of.

Second Best Game this year is Anarchy Reigns.
Following Max Anarchy as 2012's GOTY. (Seriously, THE most fun I ever had with a multiplayer game.)

Looking back, this was a year spent on medieval-fantasy grindfests: Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen and Dragon's Crown.
With a side-dish of P* tenderizing n00bs on Anarchy Reigns (then leaving again because it didn't take long for the game to go back to being overrun by glitch users) and MGRR, which is a game I'd love to nominate but that damn camera just rustles my jimmies too much. But given that DDDA is a expansion, MGRR is nonetheless my #2 for 2013.

dont forget Last of Us for kinda redefining the best parts of a zombie genre, and being innovative at the same time.

You know I don't think I've played a single game that was released this year. Huh. Pretty much not been interested in a single release except maybe Dragon's Crown and MGR. In fact the closest I've come is playing Bayonetta 2 at an expo and the MGR demo on PS3. Dunno if it's been a poor year for gaming (which in all honesty I believe it has been) or if I'm just losing interest.

You know, I got give props to Project X Zone. That game deserves an honorable mention. It's a GOOD crossover game that doesn't take itself too seriously and is really a tribute to gamers as fans. That game also showed western people will buy that sort of stuff, even more than Japanese people in this case.
