Your own headcanon

My biggest headcanon is that Double is a Cloud Cuckoo Lander. Seriously, unlimited shapeshifting power, and she chooses to turn into barrels/teacups/Moai Heads as a form of offense? Also, how did she learn about all the cast's unused attacks? Not to mention the strange names for her attacks, including normals. (assuming the characters name their own attacks)

Yeah, I'd say that whole inspirational tumblr rant is... nice and all, but ehhhh... I'm a realist. People are big ol' assholes and it's ok to like and admire characters who are big ol' assholes and even morally lacking! It's all a matter of taste, in the end. I thrive on the anguished tears of children and enjoy other such sad and terrible things, so trying to convince me of this silly Golden Age idealistic nonsense will just lead to cyclical arguments. (Or just further annoy me.)

Anyhow, on the exoskeleton theory, that seems pretty plausible. Sekhmet is clearly not a "human" skeleton with that anatomy, in any case. Leviathan's bone-like form changes and expands in certain attacks, and we can see the tissue beneath.

It actually makes Sehkmet's design make more sense to me, now that that's brought up... She's got those weird "cat ear" horn/fin things sticking out of the top of her head, which have always confused me because they'd be clearly visible as weird protrusions from Eliza's head, wouldn't they?

But if she has some degree of manipulation of her own form like Leviathan does, then they probably just retract or lie flat or something when she's acting as Eliza's skeleton. Same probably goes for those claws on her hands and feet, too (besides, she strikes me as being catlike, thus retractable claws). No sticky-outty bits = Invisible Parasite, whoo.

Yeah, the exoskeleton theory actually helps support this since can't most insects retract parts of themselves? (I.E. Wing covers and the like.)

Plus we can just add on it's a evolutionary (If we sorta ignore magics) defense too, I mean what's gonna eat a meatless skeleton?

I'm gonna try and make sense of the damn parasites since I really wonder how they would make sense from a biological point of view, any biology-nerds wanna help?

Wooow. I know those rad mofos. They are called "quebra-ossos" (literally: bone breakers) in brazilian portuguese.

The Skullgirls universe in my headcannon, now, has super versions of these. And some powers that oppose the Skullgirl make good friends with them.

[Despite my past posts dealing with Marie's motivations and exploring her views, when it comes to my personal views I'm a believer and fan of the altruistic and upstanding views that Superman and Cap support]

Anyways, dang, them birds be crazy. Do I think there were dragons? Yes, they're wearing feathers and eat skeletons and hiding under the guise of vultures. The SG equivalent are probably Brain Drain's favourite animal and inspiration. (He has a book of them in his office).

Not really my headcanon, but an interesting possibility I actually see working with the character and inspired by Shockdingo's post above:

Brain Drain has a trained pet dragovulture. In a certain way he prefers (well, dislikes less) animals like these to humans because they are easier to train, more loyal and easier to mind control if necessary.

Side note, I feel sorry for the common vulture. Poor thing is eternally reviled while its cousins, the bearded vulture and griffon vulture are celebrated for their badassery and magnificence.

Walkürenritt got me in the mood for classic music and Brain Drain headcanons.
As I am listening to Tchaikovsky's Marche Slave right now, I imagine Brain Drain likes to have classical music playing on the gramophone as he's working. That might even be the last remnant of his humanity.
He also uses music to make his test subjects more susceptible to mind control.

Going back to the exoskeletal Sekhmet theory, I wonder if her cat ears droop miserably when she's sad? <:3

EDIT: to add something about the dragon vulture, I do think that Brain Drain doing gene-splicing experiments is something with a fair share of canonicity.

Just remembered this:

After some genetic analysis the Sibley-Ahlquist taxonomy saw that many birds, while having different type of bodies, are genetically closer than previously thought. Among these the falconiformes (bearded and griffon vultures for example) and the pelecaniforms (like frigatebirds and wait for it... egrets)

Headcannon variant, Lab 0 has his own troops mirroring the Egrets called the Vultures. They are specialized in fighting undead.

Head canon, alongside the Black Egrets the Canopy Kingdom has another specialized team of soldiers composed entirely of Dagonians that handle high stakes underwater missions. They operate more efficiently at night because each soldier is bioluminescent. They call themselves the Vampire Squids. What a terrible name...

This is slipping close into OC territory.

Apart from the shameless theory I made up that Valentine has no nipples, I can agree with the headcanon about Ms. Fortune being almost suicidal, and how she has all that depression locked away inside of her. That is just too good, in my own depressing way.

She is pretty much masking herserlf with humor, when she drops it (like in Bela's story) I think she is more homicidal than suicidal.

Being homicidal sounds more practical when... Oooh...

Do you think she tried suicide many times but the Life Gem just wouldn't let her?

What's not to say? She's practically the Wolverine of Skullgirls as in she could shoot herself in the head with a frickin sniper rifle and spit the bullet out half an hour later.
 
If anyone is Wolverine it's Painwheel. She has metal running through her body and she actively wounds herself in battle only for it to heal instantly. Ms. Fortune's 'Immortality" brought about by the Life Gem is often exaggerated by Skullgirls fans. None of the wounds that Fortune suffered at Black Dahlia's hands have healed, all that the Life Gem has done is kept her barely alive. I find it hard to believe that I couldn't kill her by putting a bullet in her head.

Love Hina is her favorite.
 
I dunno, Ms. Fortune was pretty much dead anyway, so I guess that makes her some sort of glorified zombie? I don't really know, I guess we all have different views on it.

She survived chopping, it is really good. But my interpretation/headcannon is that not proof of everything. Extreme body destruction (crushing, lava, etc.) will do her in. Also too many subsequent wounds may surpass the capacity of the Life Gem, overheatin it let's say.

I don't think a bullet to the head would do. But crushing her head or her torso would.

You might be right though, we need Alex Ahad's input on this. All I know for sure is that Ms. Fortune is not indestructible and she can be done in just by being thorough.

Or we go with whatever the Dungeon Master says. Else the game is spent discussing damage reduction, regeneration rate and bullet calibers.

But yeah, for now it is only headcannon. In a fic she can come back from even a single cell.
 
I don't think Ms. Fortune actually has any regenerative powers, the Life Gem just seems to keep her alive.

As for why her head and limbs are able to firmly reattach, I would chalk that up to Rule of Cool.
