Assists not coming out during taunt

I'll record it happening when I get back from errands and work today, but I just recalled that I was playing Eliza and did her taunt + assist and the assist would pop on screen but the hop right back off without doing it's actual assist. Intentional or bug?

Intentional because the motion lends itself to accidental assist calls. This way your assist can be called again sooner
