Error Getting Opponent's Connection Information?

(Sorry, I didn't know where else to put this.)

Trying to play a few rounds with someone on the forums and this message keeps popping up every time we try to invite each other. We tried resetting our connections/turning ps3 off/whatever and it still keeps happening. It is only happening with this guy, no one else. Anyone experience something like this?
