I started Skullgirls over 2 months ago and played Painwheel since the beginning. However, I keep hearing people saying she's pure trash and is not worth it for tournaments. I mean... is she ?
Is Painwheel truely the worst character ?

I'm not a professional by any means, however, from what i understood, Painwheel is generally considered ''low tier'' by many due to some factors:
1. Although she possesses high damage potential, she has one of the lowest HP of the cast.
2. She has a rather poor ground movement, a slow dash, and only one air jump, therefore she is very susceptible to be trapped.
3. She lacks a fully invincible reversal move to get out of pressure.
4. And she is considered to be very difficult to mastery by many.
But even so, that doesn't exactly mean she is straight up ''trash''. For example, she has a strong armor and, as i mentioned earlier, can deal massive damage, but the path of mastering her can be way more challenging than most of the other characters. In the end, if you are already comfortable and want to keep playing with Painwheel, just keep playing with her. You are the one who is playing after all lol.

I don't want to be that guy, but you sure? If i'm not mistaken, she is essentially a ''glass cannon'' in both Skullgirls 2nd encore and mobile. I even printed what the wiki says about her if you are still skeptical.

Bruh that screenshot is literally from the SGM wiki, which is why it talks about Mobile mechanics like Bleed and Enrage. Yeah, Mobile has different health pools for different characters, not 2E. We only have different healths for different team ratios.
If you want a better gameplay description for PW and other characters for 2E, it's better to check out the Mizuumi wiki:

Far as I can tell, at least factually yes. The other points can mostly be considered opinions (e.g. being difficult to master) but characters having different HPs is definitely incorrect so I wanted to point it out it before someone gets the wrong idea lol
If there is one thing I would point out: while she does only have a single jump, she is the only character that is able to Fly, so her maneuverability is not as bad as your second point might make it sound
