I can't wait until Combo Breaker to see what you guys have in store for me. And I have a feeling that an announcement is gonna be Minette-releated, huh?
I'm sorry for my post on the Beta discussion topic that given me a first warrning. I immediately regret being disappointed about the balance patch not releasing before Combo Breaker. Once again, I am truly sorry about my post there.
Well, the balance patch won't be released before Combo Breaker, and I am a little disappointed that I won't be seeing Star Overdrive into action there. But the good news is that Marie is officially released way before then.
Now that Marie is fully released, I am recording my Skullgirls matches and editing them to play the music from BBTAG on my PlayStation. But I'll wait until the issue is fixed first.
After looking at the specs on my computer I'm using, I have learned that they not good enough to run Skullgirls smoothly, so the best bet is to postpone running my online casual and going full blast on Steam until I get a new high-end computer.
I hope we get word about Marie's Alpha soon now that she is released on Mobile. I am eager to not only try her out, but to look at the placement of the character select screen containing the full cast.
Since I heard SGCS is returning in 2024 and it's gonna be bigger than before, the real question is, is it gonna be similar to Capcom Pro-Tour and other circuits to have offline and online tournaments?
The developers have been too darn quiet here since that progress update. Too quiet. I hope we hear from them soon because we don't want to be left in the dark for so long.
Now that the Xbox port is available, the devs can now double their efforts on developing Marie. But the update for the Japanese PS4 version is still on the docket.
It's been a couple weeks. When the heck are we gonna get word about the Xbox ports? What about the progress on the update for the Japanese PS4 version?
After watching that early Marie combo video, in my opinion, Marie is basically an undead version of Orie with a vacuum and her skeletal Stand that shoots lasers like Black Dahlia is basically the Nine the Phantom with an arm gun and smaller breasts.
I always thought that the anime TV series for Skullgirls would be either rated TV-PG LV or TV-14 LV and that would be amazing. But it's gonna be rated TV-14 LV because of a ton of blood I witnessed on that Webtoon episode.
Now that the Switch players have joined the Season 1 Pass period and beyond, we wait for the Xbox players to join so that we can get crossplay. But when Dahlia and Marie are released.
I got my new HDMI cord for my PC to play the PC version of Skullgirls on my new 4K TV to make it feel like I'm playing the PC version on console. But I'm not gonna go full blast just yet until either Black Dahlia is fully released or Marie hits Alpha.
Now that Switch players are getting the update on January 3rd and the Xbox players are getting the new release early next year, I hope crossplay is implemented once they are released.
My journey to also become a Skullgirls PC player begins either after Dahlia enters Beta, after she is fully released or after Marie is fully released. We'll see.
I always thought that Black Dahlia is basically Nine the Phantom, but with small breasts and an arm gun loaded with elemental bullets. That's why I have an avatar of her to show you how she looks in her Nine palette. But it's just a preview because it can change.
With 2nd Encore and its Season 1 Pass are being actively developed as an update for the Switch and as a new release on the Xbox One and Series X/S and the Season 1 Pass characters are getting Japanese voices and fully voiced story modes at the end of the Season 1 Pass period, there is one more left on the docket, which is giving the original cast's voice lines specific to Annie.
It's been over a month since the latest Alpha update came out and we STILL haven't gotten any words from the devs! Come on, don't leave us in the freaking dark!
Now that Skullgirls 2nd Encore and the Season 1 Pass are now in active development as an update for the Switch and as a new release for the Xbox One and Series X/S, what we need is crossplay since Them's Fightin' Herds is coming to consoles with crossplay as a cherry on top.
Forgot to announce that along with the first Season 1 Pass characters, Marie is one of the characters that is eligible for a BBTAG palette for my palette pack idea and allowed in my special casual. I'll make her an Orie palette out of her as soon as she is available on the SGM Palette Editor.
Since Black Dahlia is actually getting an ingame UI element that displays how many bullets she currently have, I'm down to my one piece of feedback, which is giving her three more elemental bullets of water, wind and ice.
Honestly, in my opinion, Black Dahlia is basically Nine the Phantom with an arm gun and I heard she is getting more ammo types. I bet the new ones are gonna be Water, Earth and Wind, huh?
If Marie is confirmed to be the fourth Season 1 Pass character, I think Aeon should be the bonus fifth character. I totally need more characters to have palettes that depict Under Night In-Birth characters for my palette pack idea anyway.
Man, I am so dying and freaking curious to see what Black Dahlia's sigil looks like now that she is being playable at Combo Breaker. Not to mention the Switch players are finally getting the Season 1 Pass and Xbox players are finally getting the 2nd Encore update as they confirmed that are developing it on the other systems. I hope we get cross-play as a cherry on top.
I am grateful that the devs are working on incredible online improvements. With the large scale UI and networking refactors, I don't doubt that they are gonna fix the online lobby issues that have been lingering for years since lobbies came out on consoles. Hopefully, that should make giving the Xbox players the 2nd Encore update and the Switch players the Season 1 Pass easier.
I am starting to feel the urge to play Skullgirls, but I am afraid that the issue I am having since lobbies are released in consoles might still be there.
