EC VS The World 10v10 @ Combo Breaker 2016

Is not being able to support the event about the exhibition or about Combo Breaker itself? If its about Combo Breaker itself could you let me know why (either here or in a DM)? I can't help make things better if I'm not aware of problems occurring. Thanks!

I've been taking into account the switching opinions (both here and elsewhere). I'll make a final decision at some point but not setting a deadline on the decision. I normally lean on not allowing it but I'm finding more support from it than I expected amongst non-MvC2 players. So....I'll keep...

Mystery always hits its cap. Listing it with the other games lets people know which games are above or below 128. Since I don't like releasing registrant numbers prior to registration closing that means Mystery can't be listed.

I'm open to having a conversation on team order switching but heres the thought on why its not allowed currently. You're Player 1, you win game 1. As Player 2 I identify that my main issue is your point character. I reconstruct my team to deal with that point character (for better or worse...

No. The winner must keep the character/team and/or assists from the previous match. The order would stay the same as well as part of the "team." No deviation should be awarded to the winning player.

This is regressive reasoning. Even in 2/3 the more adaptive player wins. As a newer player the 3/5 format allots more matches for experimentation and adaptation, while removing the inherent risk of losing strictly to a lack of game knowledge/gimmicks. There is no reason to view 3/5 as being...

Skullgirls will be contested 3/5 for the entirety of our 2016 tournament. Practice your long game everyone. Gimmicks just got nerfed.

@gunraiden Combo Breaker has an event registration fee of $40. We use this money to secure the venue, staging, equipment, gaming set ups, badges, tournament staff, bracket staff, venue signage, broadcasters, on-air talent, and many other needs that go into making the event a fun weekend. A...

For everyone asking, Combo Breaker is likely switching SG to 3/5 for the entirety of the tournament. Final decision soon.

Hey everyone, I'll consider 3/5 for varying parts of the tournament and get back to you. There are a lot of reasons for a lot of options. In the mean time lets push the conversation to a new thread and get back to talking about deep dish pizza?

Hey everybody, We had extremely positive feedback from most corners over having in-house commentary. I'm also a fan of it. While I know there are dissenters, the positive feedback & my preference weighing in means you'll likely hear it again. However, I am not against having a God mic at each...

Thanks for the extended wait while we looked into this. Unless something problematic comes up the Brook Superconverter will be legal at Combo Breaker. The condition is that you use a USB extender so that the converter itself is not plugged into the machine. So long as you're willing to pick up a...

Thats the old spirit. The wayward spirt. The spirit of men who show up to parties hours after they've started and question why the rum is gone. We're on that new level now where people register and I get to correctly stock the freezer by knowing in advance you're actually coming.
