It feels like I'm starting to hit a glass ceiling when it comes to improving myself, and my depression isn't helping me rate myself objectively, so I've decided to open this thread up to get better advice on what to work on, and to chronicle where I'm going in this game. I'll try to update this...

That could work. The only issue here is the possibility of dropouts over the week, but that's a problem every online tournament has had to work around, and not too big a deal.

Definitely feel like we should have some sort of rotation system in place, just to keep the variety up. Might be fun to have some bad games/outdated games (i.e., SF2 Turbo, MvC, Art of Fighting 2) in the wheel too, since we wouldn't touch them otherwise. Not really sure what to do about...

As someone who just found out you have a shmups forum account like two weeks ago, I am both bummed and elated at your absence (because you probably would've kicked my ass).

Judging by reviews for their products, the build quality on Mayflash stuff seems to be hit or miss. Nearly bought one of their budget sticks recently, but the reviews swinging back and forth between "adequate and sucks" convinced me to grab the Hori FC4 instead. I've got the opposite problem...

I upgraded my pad to a HORI Fighting Commander 4 recently. Upon booting up SG, I found that inputs on the controller would affect both characters in Training Mode (i.e., pressing right would cause both characters to go to the right; c.lp would have both characters throw out the move, etc.)...

Assuming my money situation looks good by December, I'd probably be going on Saturday (my first live tournament, if true! If not, there's always Combo Breaker).

Also a bit late, but for what it's worth, I'd definitely would prefer text, if only for the resets section. It seems a bit easier for me to read what to do than memorize and play a video over and over again.

Swear to gawd that I'm going to jump in on one of these again at some point. I missed winning KOF 2k2 by the skin of my teeth last time I played; next time I'm getting the gold.
