In order to make it combo you'd either have to increase the hitstun on s.mpx2 or start up on the s.hp/cr.hp. I can't say much about s.mpx2, it's more of a gimmick for resets. As for combos its the slightly more damaging option. s.hp/cr.hp have great hitboxes already so it would seem wrong for it...

Nearly any assist can be used as a reset. It just needs to hit/grab the enemy. A simple one is just calling assist and jumping over the enemy. So the enemy is needs to block in the other direction.

TIL canceling grab into Buer is fast fall and makes it so that it doesnt start counting towards IPS on your first ground string and you can still avoid OTG. Works on everybody :O just harder on heavier ppl.

If you're looking for a crossover after the first air chain, you can do super jump j/lp or j.lk. Or you can get a crossover by just using j.lp or j.lk right after your launcher. I don't really know anything with the assist, but these are similar.
