Yes. YES. That is exactly what I loved about the first Mirror's Edge. It was a linear-ass, simplistic FPS that never tried to go too big or be too much. It had beautiful level design and art and smooth, fun gameplay, and that was all I needed.

Maze of Shadows is the shit, I beat that game at least 4 times. The gameplay is spot on, the puzzles are great, the art is fantastic and the music is amazing.

I have a copy of that somewhere, I should try to dig it out now that I have a PC to play it on.

Maybe they'll be ports... after all, modern iOS devices can easily run PS2-level games. Hell, even Bioshock and Xcom are on there.
