Okay so if I want to go and play Skullgirls, regardless if I have any interest in being the #1 champ, I pay $40 and $10? Sorry, just want to be 100% sure about this.

So I'm about to register. How do this work? I pay the $40 to be able to enter and $10 to be able to play people in Skullgirls? Or is the tournament some separate thing only the best players enter?

While entertaining most of these matches weren't that good. They weren't really that close as one player clearly had an advantage over the other during most of the match and there were few comebacks. This is more in line of what I am talking about.
