    Combo Breaker 2016 Roomsharing Thread

@gunraidan, if you haven't had a room offer yet, BrandX+ sadly cannot come, so there is an open slot in my room.

Argh, if I had the luggage space I'd bring Codex. Darn you TSA! Actually, I might be able to fit my Red and Green binders, but no promises.

    Blazblue

I guess lmgtfy probably doesn't work for image matching, but according to Google Image Search it's called Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!/Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu. AFAICT from the Wiki page the joke of the show (awkward sexual discussion comedy!) is pretty much given away in that image.

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Wow, those are some terrifying monsters. I suppose part of that is the sheer unfamiliarity I have with them, having little exposure to SE Asian myth, but I'm guessing they are unnerving no matter what.

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I second this, especially on older machines, and not just because of Windows 10's creepy auto-install policy. On newer machines setting it to only download automatically but wait on user input to install is okay, but my 9 year old laptop went from chugging on Skullgirls at 960x600 with 2d...

In which I seek to learn the ways of the games of fighting

Well, let's see how well I put the lessons from NWM into practice: Given that I haven't had a huge amount of time to actually get to this, I'm pretty happy about my performance. I'm also just happy in general, which is weird.

more importantly, that's 3m52s/5 = 47s per round, assuming all matches go to 5. If some go to 3 then they can take a leisurely 1m17s, but no more.

Yeah, about that snoring. I was honestly a big afraid you'd choke on your own tongue, there, Dawn. I'd recommend getting that checked, but I'm assuming you'd have to pay for that.

I'm really curious what you guys discussed, and wish I was there for that. It probably was something positive that gave perspective.

Wasn't the D pool block also being run with all winner's bracket games on stream, rather than in parallel? I know @hilaryyy wanted to do that, and it seemed like it was roughly the case, but I didn't check. We could probably run it like like the playoffs (4/7 for those without hockey) and it...

In which I seek to learn the ways of the games of fighting

Well, after NWM I learned a few important things. 1. Judge matches on many metrics, not just win/loss or damage dealt, but instead on things like "touches", "proper conversions", "adapting", "forcing the opponent to adapt", etc. It makes playing a lot less stressful. 2. Try to find things to...

What am I even doing anymore?(Kyu's Diary)

I'm just going to ping @DawnHibiki on this, since he plays a rather aggressive Bella.

Glad I could make the trip nicer for you, @DawnHibiki. You, @BrandX+, and @MysteriousJ were great roommates. Also, thanks @Skarmand and @Mike_Z for the tips. It's a lot more fun to play SG when I'm actively thinking about what random things I can do after a mistake rather than kicking myself...

My goal is to take in an improv show (though I realize I should probably buy tickets the week of before I go, rather than when I arrive), or at least go in town to see what Chicago proper is like.

King Street Station, and I arrive there at 10PM. Google Maps says to take a tram to SeaTac and then a bus to the hotel, though I suppose shuttles exist too. According to others I've talked to who've also come in from Vancouver Google Maps is more-or-less correct.
