Yeah in my opinion that's not a particularly good use of Hitstun vial as you're not really getting the full benefit of a mixup or crossup/crossunder as you would from Lag vial. By screwing with their inputs, you increase the success rate of all your mixups and resets. Level 2+ pretty much screws...

Green/Hit stun is good for when you want to bind or link two moves that would otherwise not combo but Orange/Lag vial causes input lag for the opponent making it easier for Valentines to land a reset or mixup. Out of all the vials, Orange/Lag yields the highest damage potential.

Considering solo Val can kill in two touches, using Orange/Lag Vial is actually very optimal when going for resets.

Think of/treat every match as a casual or as a tournament. That way, the change in atmosphere will affect you the same.
