The thing is that it doesn't corrupt just the game's save, it ruins the whole memory card. And since there were plenty of PS2 rpgs which one could drop many hours into, that could be really really bad.

Just doing a quick online search for soulcalibur 3 save corruption shows there's a few things about it, even a gamefaqs entry about it.

I recall hearing a long time ago that SC3 had a save corruption bug that could trash the entire PS2 memory card. Yep, that sounds like a big problem.

Captain Sword is a GREAT super, so I'm ok with that.
