They've literally already said there are assists. They probably have different inputs like in DBFC either forward/down/neutral + assist.

Lol... No Nobody is going to get behind this. Should they have used more of the interesting and awesome monster hunter weapons? Absolutely. But there is no reason to make a whole other monster hunter character over something more interesting and showing off the diverse legacy of capcoms...
