Okay, my other suggestion would have been VirtualDub, but for some reason I forgot about it until just now, probably because I have to use AviDemux as a conversion step from OBS to VirtualDub, where I do my splicing, and I was in the middle of that conversion.

AviDemux should work fine with 6h of video. I use it all the time to edit videos that big. It will take about 3 minutes to load, but afterwards everything will be smooth.
