Online play is a bad measure to use for fighting games (plus, as the only person in the thread to say "it's already dead", I did mention that online play will probably persist for a while). Hell, by that measure, BBCT was "still alive" into BBCS:EX's lifespan, possibly longer.

Sliding knockdown Oki was the cornerstone of my Val offense for quite a while. There's a reason I stopped using it; undizzy means you get one more mixup -> combo, and then your momentum is forced to stall.

Updo and Pillar having their blockstun reduced by 2 frames, higher damage against assists, and assist lockout were all things specifically designed to weaken "downback behind a DP" play.

Yeah, people are "discovering" things... let's ignore the fact that Updo and Pillar assist calls were nerfed THREE FUCKING TIMES IN THE LAST YEAR, amirite? People haven't "discovered" the way to play against those things; those things were nerfed because they basically couldn't be played against.

Yeah, as though anyone is going to finish a combo against a full-health character, instead of going for resets. In reality, both characters are going to go for resets, and the 51% damage max undizzy character is going to need a lot more of them.

Incorrect, because undizzy means that early resets are mandatory, so the amount of damage you do in your first few chains matters a lot. And Val's is abysmal. @Mr Peck , why play Juggernaut when you can play Sentinel or Mags and have infinites anyways? (EDIT: also, LOL @ everyone saying...

If you want good conversions off of everything, play Eliza. c.mk converts off of absolutely fucking EVERYTHING.
