I could be completely wrong about this (I've only used her in training mode, and am only on day 2 with her), but lk spiral is -2 on block, so is totally safe, and c.mk is +0 on block and is very confirmable since it multi-hits.

Note to self -- timing on Eliza lk spiral -> s.lk link is *immediately* after the opponent reaches apogee on the "mini-launch" from the spiral.

In the Eliza combo How the hell are you making the dash, c.hk xx H Shoryu work? When I try this, either the Shoryu comes out the wrong way, or the training dummy goes right through it.

Honestly, I think that it's better for a beginner to go with some really easy 5K full combo. Especially for Parasoul, since such a thing ends with a crumple burst bait. Forced oki is better than a reset if you've only got one reset point.

Oh, I can say for certain that the game definitely isn't giving more than it's frustrating, but I really don't have a lot of choice right now but to play enough that I at least keep my muscle memory intact; regional tournament coming up here on Oct 4th, and I promised people I'd go.
