    Let's talk about Peacock's normals

@Mike_Z MP Bang whiffs over certain low profile moves, like Filia when she uses Drill/Drill Feint. Not sure if it's the same for moves like Fortune's crouching jab or if you want to take a look at it.

Big Band Tech Thread: Small/Big Tips & Strategy YOU Notice?

Just want to say that I was joking and I love your work. :) Do your thing, Mr. Z.

    The Power of One.

"I want to play Bella/PW/Peacock with s.lp for all assists. Those assists are bad, but I don't want to change anything. This game isn't about good team-building, it's about giving you the choice to do what you want. And what I want to do should be effective in-game, regardless of how lacking in...

    The Power of One.

Are solo characters completely fucked? I think that's the first question that needs to be answered. Honestly, I wonder if any of you try going 3 v 1 and see the health lost due to getting touched once by a solo character, or have to deal with the amount of damage you need to dish out on offense...

    The Power of One.

When the solo players asking for buffs can use all the options available to them effectively (pbgc, absolute guard, etc) and play viable solo options (complaining about Solo PW and Peacock for example doesn't really make sense), then maybe we can re-visit this. But when the good solo players...

    The Power of One.

So, pick up an assist? This is a team game, why would you expect solo characters to be equal to teams when they don't even have access to the full set of mechanics? No, they don't need a buff because team building is a thing in SG. If you don't want to take part in that fine, but understand what...

    The Power of One.

I honestly don't think viable solos need anything. Sure, you play solo PW but you pretty much have to accept the weaknesses if you refuse to pick up an assist. It's not like you don't have a choice, you just decide that you're going to stick with it. That's cool, but you have to take the good...

    Zero-to-deaths? In MY fighting game?

He's a hard hitting character and solo vs trio tends to do a lot of damage. If you consider all of his weaknesses as a solo vs a good team, I'm sure it's fine.

Personal Analysis of Solo, Duo and Trio

Nah, this thread is fine for that type of question. I think best duo has either Filia or Double second, though. Filia assist can be some form of lock down (for point characters with strong reversals) or a DP assist.

Personal Analysis of Solo, Duo and Trio

Not too sure why duo is below solo when having an assist can make a huge difference (e.g. solo Peacock vs Peacock with a strong AA assist). Also, the ability to regain red life is huge.

    The Power of One.

I think solo players just need to accept that they're playing a sub-optimal team. You're not going to have more than a few solo characters being effective alone and if you're unwilling to go duo, then that's really your choice. I mean, the simple answer to a solo who is really bad is to grab an...

    Peacock Assist Thread

Yeah, I mixed up conserving with generating. I guess it's because I always have excess meter with PW that I thought she was good at generating. In that case, it really is only Peacock who's a good battery.

    Peacock Assist Thread

Spacing with Nail-Flight cancels and j.mp. Pretty sure that generates more meter than w.e. Val and Fortune do before landing a hit. Then when she actually lands a hit, she doesn't need to burn any meter to convert, while Fortune and Val have to spend meter before having access to certain options...

    Peacock Assist Thread

She functions pretty well without needing to burn meter. You should only see install as a DHC option and air super as a reversal. She has great tools for controlling space, can convert off of everything meter-less, has very strong pressure and resets, and her most damaging combos don't require a...

    Cerebella General

It's nothing amazing, just enough to allow Peacock -> PW to be usable. A strong DHC into PW Lvl 3, safe DHC with Install, lvl 1 Pinion Dash assist gives Peacock a forward moving assist to work with as an obstacle, and for covering teleports, lvl 2 Pinion Dash looks really good for her general...

    Peacock Assist Thread

Nah, the better incoming set-up threaten you before the character lands, so the additional aerial movement options don't really help. The only characters who have some reversal option vs incoming set-ups are the characters with air supers. I think Peacock can be good either as a battery or as a...

    Unburstable Combos

J.lp is an air-to-air tool for Peacock though. It wouldn't really make sense to nerf that part of her game just because of this.

Personal Analysis of Solo, Duo and Trio

Nah, it has a shitty vertical hit-box and loses to grabs so you pretty much have to guess twice before you use it (will they attack? is it going to be a hit or grab?). Trust me, being predictable has nothing to do with it, it's just weak overall. I would willingly trade that to PW if I got her...
