    Beginner Questions Thread

QCFs are absolutely possible on keyboard. There is nothing wrong with learning on keyboard, though you can't really bring a keyboard to a tourney. (I think it might be possible, but the keyboard needs to be modded). One thing I'd strongly recommend is to not use the WASD layout for movement...

    Beginner Questions Thread

I've gotta run, but the quick answer is chunking. Treat it like you did phone numbers as a kid. So instead of trying to do the whole thing at once, learn part A, then learn part B, then stick part A and B together. I'd treat one 'part' as a single chain for the purposes of this. One other thing...

    Beginner Questions Thread

Please check the stickied Beginner Resources thread (for character specific and general game guides) before asking your questions. Link: http://skullgirls.com/forums/index.php?threads/beginner-resources-thread.242/ We should probably have one of these again. Have a basic question about SG or...

    Basic Mechanics in Skullgirls

You're correct about stage 2 happening after air-dash canceling a jump-in. This is new in MDE.

A perfectly unbiased take on the matter.

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

Just tested this. Supers never activate undizzy, even if they are used as a chain starter and the 350 limit has been passed. To test I got the dummy passed 350 in the middle of a chain (with Squigly) then DHCed from battle opera to Samson, and did a second Samson right after the first. No green...

Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks for the input.

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

Thanks, I updated the OP. I'm pretty sure supers don't add undizzy at all, correct?

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

I might do one on IPS. Anything else you'd like to see?

    Skullgirls General QnA Thread

I hadn't seen an 'official' name for it before, but since seeing your post I've seen a bunch of other MDE references. Not sure where that started, but it seems to be catching on. I know I like it more than any of the other stuff I've seen (SQG, and PC version), so I'm using it. And I'm not sure...

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

It's definitely more of a viable option now than it ever was before. But even if you're at (or above) 350 you can still reset and undizzy sparks will NEVER activate before stage 5 (afaik). So I don't know if I'd say it's optimal, I think it depends on the situation (how close to death they are...

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

"But wait, Dude, why have IPS if we already have undizzy?.." Well, I'll tell you. Undizzy and IPS have two overlapping, but ultimate separate functions. Imagine, for a moment, if we only had undizzy. In this situation I would be able to loop the same thing over and over again until the undizzy...

    Understanding The Drama Bar (Undizzy)

Drama, commonly referred to as "undizzy", is the green bar under your health bar that fills up the longer your combo goes on. It is a mechanic that was added in the "Mildly Different Edition" of SG. Its purpose is to prevent some of the longer combos, especially team combos, that were possible...

    Burst Alpha Counter properties

Green burst is the "undizzy" burst, and it occurs when a combo gets too long. Instead of repetition, it's based on a hidden undizzy value. I think I'm gonna go make a thread in the beginner section explaining it in detail, so be on the lookout for that if you want specifics.
