Actually, it felt like more as a growing up story. Except that Annie (ironically) is the old master and Beowulf is the rebellious student. And saying that he only beat Grendel's arm is unfair. He beat Grendel's arm AND the freaking Skullgirl.

I think she really blends her personality with her current disguise and said personalities have staying power. A quiet serious nun. An elegant mysterious party gift giver. A laid-back manager. She has to act well, not only look well to do her job. She is no one that can be everyone.

I have liked the story. Annie may show a bit too much, but funnily enough, her function on the story is to serve as Beowulf's wise old master. She is his Yoda (also green). Poor guy was used as political propaganda in a horrible rigged match. Double was great through the story.
