Hmm..... I don't think I am worried about Inti Creates helping out with the design of this game. I think MN9 has bland level design because of Inafune, so while Igarashi definitely has his tropes, I like his WAY more than Inafune's. And I gave $100. Really want sigs, but I ain't made of money.

As a Val mainer, I see an equal amount of people who really like her and really dislike her to this day.

The game really only becomes a buggy unbalanced mess at high level play. You COULD ignore 80% of the cast if you just wanna go for "professional" exploits, but exploits are not the entirety of the game.

I also like Space Jumping. No, it's not perfectly balanced and it could be designed to have a little more skill, but it does set up a great contrast between beginning and endgame, and makes platforming obstacles you've already overcome meaningless. I also like how screw attack / space jumping...

Vanquish is loud and high octane and conspicuous and fast and explosive and super linear, the exact opposite of Metroid. Maybe Platinum could do the self destruct sequence ending, but that's it.
