    Euro Fight

The last tournament didn't have round robin pools and it still took almost 4 hours to finish. I don't think I'd call it 'win-win' if you made it even longer. I prefer the idea that one of the early SFV majors had (Final Round, maybe?), where everyone who goes 0-2 or 1-2 in the main tournament...

Europe [Sep 9, 2017] London Games Society (LGS) monthlies (London, England)

Turns out a few of the other AH3 players are picking up SG, not just Frost. So even though Mace and Jammerz weren't there, there were still 5 people playing SG. It's just a pity that none of the people who post on here can make it :c

Out of curiosity, do people use the down airdash for anything other than accidentally killing themselves during those no-floor flying sections? I never figured out any good uses for it myself.

[Sep 30, 2016] CEOtaku 2016: this is actually out of control omg (Orlando, FL)

Oh, I phrased that wrong. I can swim just fine, I just can't do it for the next year or so, especially not in something hot like a jacuzzi (because of skin problems). That's all really reassuring; I'll see how things are with money when more details about the tournament get announced. Thanks...

[Sep 30, 2016] CEOtaku 2016: this is actually out of control omg (Orlando, FL)

Unfortunately I can't swim or spend much time in the sun for the next year or so, so I probably can't do most Florida tourist stuff either. I guess another way of saying it is: if all I want to do is play as much Skullgirls as possible and level up my game, is this the tournament for me? If the...

[Sep 30, 2016] CEOtaku 2016: this is actually out of control omg (Orlando, FL)

I'd like to go to this, but flights are expensive at the moment because of our economy suddenly taking a nosedive so I'm not 100% sure if I can make it. One question though: I can't go to wet n wild because of skin stuff, so does that mean I'd be better off arriving on Friday evening? Or would...

    Mr Peck's Comical Character Crisis

This probably isn't the right place for this, but I don't know where else would make sense. PSA for people who play against me or watch me play: I'm happy with my team, and I enjoy all three of my characters. Please don't tell me to drop characters from my team, or to replace them with old...

Europe [Sep 9, 2017] London Games Society (LGS) monthlies (London, England)

The next LGS is on Saturday July 2nd, and Frost (Revo/LGS organiser) and Angel (UK Pokken champion) are both trying to get back into Skullgirls in time for Revo. So hopefully a bunch of people can turn up and help Frost get back to speed!

I'm writing a story about competitive gaming in my film screenwriting class and have some questions.

As someone who used to play at FPS tournaments before moving to fighting games, fighting game events feel so different to FPS/RTS/'esports' events that I don't know where to begin. I think FGC events are a billion times better than esports events, but you should do whatever speaks to you...

Bad at Blocking, Crappy at Comboing, and On My Way to Greatness

Yeah. The reason for that is that if you pushblock while standing, you automatically block high for the whole animation, and if you pushblock while crouching, you automatically block low. So switching blocks means you automatically block high and manually block low (or vice-versa) at the same...

    Mr Peck's Comical Character Crisis

Missiles are because I'm happy to play without beam, so I'm going to see what setups I can get out of missiles. It feels like there's some really strong stuff just waiting to be discovered. Maybe some chip patterns with repeated tenrai-ha and missiles. Things get really clowny really fast once...

Europe [Sep 9, 2017] London Games Society (LGS) monthlies (London, England)

I was so busy with Combo Breaker I forgot to update the thread. The next LGS is tomorrow, and I'll be there! edit: no I won't! Mace and Jammerz can't make it this weekend so I'm sitting out too.
