Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I'll probably get some heat for this, but I think the skin color change does have something to do with it. Specifically, since the Nineties we've been culturally trained to expect "scary black men" to have a heart of gold. Even the Operative in Serenity came around to "not so bad" in the end...

Well, yeah. They gave him the Suicide Squad Deadshot treatment, and those aren't pleasant memories for anyone. :P

Exactly! Butterscotch candies are the best. New! Vasco has all the butterscotch candies and a big, comfy recliner. Old! Vasco only had black licorice uphill both ways in the snow, and he liked it. Eh, I was always put off by her weird trunk-legs. Then again, I find children in general to be...

Yeah, new Vasco looks kinda like Morgan Freeman. Seems too kindly. And less likely to inspire "Spicy To'Vasco Sauce" puns. Remember this? Not the sort of person you want to ask for hard butterscotch candies while visiting for the weekend.

So, I realized something about Lanshi the Reincarnated Incarnation- his story arc is finding out who's a good boy? Oh yes you are, yes you are! :PUJNA:

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

From what I've heard, the main gripe with Yooka-Laylee is that they delivered what they promised, but what they promised wasn't a fully modern game and it had some of the past's clunkiness. It would be like complaining the shiny new intro for Indivisible looks too anime... even though the goal...

Personal Sinclairs SG Art dump (NSFW??)

Huh, before I read the "psychedelic" stuff, my first thought was "Oh, stained glass Double, very appropriate."

Project [Fan Made] Custom Palettes : (Requests Open)

To be fair, that was a major high tier reward in the SG Indiegogo campaign. Giving out a palette to "the community" seems like a bit of a dick move to people who paid good money for it. And community polls lead to waifu wars, and nobody wants those. And we got those last-minute Annie palettes...

Project [Fan Made] Custom Palettes : (Requests Open)

I think there's some sort of "skullmod" tool? I've seen it used to play with custom backgrounds, so palettes might be doable. On the other hand, you'd have to edit every single sprite for your new palette. Don't know how easy/hard that would be, but probably hard.

Aye, but I've found, especially with online play, audio's unreliable. Turning down the tracks can make a different, more focused experience.

Couldn't you turn the voice volume slider to zero?

    Yooka-Laylee: AKA Banjo-Kazooie 3

Eh, Jim hated it, most critics agree it has a bad camera, but many say it's exactly what fans of the original wanted. Average score seems to be 8/10. As a fan of the genre who doesn't have nostalgia goggles for Banjo Kazooie, I'll love to try it when it goes on sale. Meanwhile, I'm still...

Recently discovered Terrordrome after Maximilian Dood's video about it. Ash plays amusingly similar to Beowulf with his "grab and takedown" moves. Plays a little clunky, but I think the slasher aesthetic works really well. [EDIT] Also, beating people up with my purse as Herbert West is...

As long as Ajna and friends aren't all amnesiac kids from the same orphanage, trained to fight a sorceress from the future, we'll be okay.

I guess this is more of a backseat design idea than any specific game, but I've been thinking about fighting games and horror. Videogames often give the player an experience of a powerful avatar, "Every game is Mech Warrior." Horror, by contrast, often takes that power away, creating fear...

    Gaming General Discusison

To be fair, there's a difference between window dressing and core message. The core message- rejection of power- is very nice and all, but sometimes you just want to kill some orcs. And since most videogames are a power fantasy, they're not a very good medium for the message. Although, I...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

RE Baozhai and asymmetrical sprites- since Lab Zero's animation techniques involves having items in layers, couldn't they just have "single shoulder cannon" be "foreground-1" when hidden by her face and "foreground+1" when revealed?
