Skullgirls Beta Aug 5th Patch Discussion

That was unrelated to the earlier thing, Mike just said he can't do hard knockdown loops at max undizzy, he can. Also, I wouldn't call pillar a gimmick assist, you can also do it with beat extend, brass and beam, which are all used very often. Sorry about the ratio.

You can use shp or jhp I guess it needs a pretty specifc assist though, I've tried a few: pillar, beat extend and beam work.

That's what I meant. I can't test it right now but wouldn't he be able to do like: clk cmp shk l chair dash jump jlk jhp killa + assist shp ex wulfdog ex press and loop it at max undizzy? Edit: Maybe the chair doesn't recover in time, I'm pretty sure it can be done with another combo, though.

Is that not the case? Can't you do killa + assist on the chair, get 2 hype levels and do ex finisher into ex slam?

Why is Beowulf back to getting 2 hype when landing on the chair? Now he does almost 8k into hard knockdown for no meter and no hype while also getting the chair back.

If Robo mine trades it doesn't knockdown and has a very short hitstun, this is unintended, right? I think it happened at Salty too.

I tested all of them on Filia, for some you have to use f+k or slam and you might have to call assist early but they all work.

Skullgirls Beta Aug 5th Patch Discussion

Tested a bunch of commonly used assists, stuff you didn't mention: Squigly chp, DnB, horus, m sekhmet, painwheel cmp and smk, updo (weird), hairball, napalm shot, drill, robo shp, beam. It's like 80% of the most used assists...

Beo shouldn't be able to build hype and spend it in the same combo. Right now with a lot of assists (like pillar) you can get 9k damage meterless starting at 0 hype from midscreen, this also gives you 2 hype levels at the end of the combo and you even build more meter than the opponent (almost...

Once again I'm not saying it's too good, I'm saying it makes him extremely boring as a character. Most people seem to press that button and practically nothing else in neutral, maybe they're just all bad, I don't know.

I know how he functions, if you want an example, look at your own videos and count how many times you press jhp over any other button.

Doesn't really work they call brass or most other assists... I'm not saying it's too good, it's fine, but he would be much more interesting as a character if his entire gameplan wasn't jhp.

Of course, just saying it's not that slow for a move with that kind of range. When I said other neutral tools I meant things like shp, chp and sweep, they're all really fun to use but jhp is much better in most situations.

    It's 16f. For comparison Painwheel's jmp is 22f, Double's jhp is 17f and Parasoul's jhp is 14f.

Not sure I agree with that change in particular but a slight nerf to jhp would be good for the character. He has so many fun neutral tools that go often unused because of it.

Yep, that's what I'm talking about, and it is a thing, I tested it both in training mode and in a real match. It's actually pretty major, I'm surprised no one noticed this. Also, loving the headless changes, she feels much better now.

@Mike_Z Not beta related but Beo's airgrab is bugged, you can't crouch tech it.

The first solution sounds better than using an input to move the head. I guess we'll see once we're able to test it out.

Last thing he needs is more damage, try doing arm after the first air string. I also think Beo needs more uses for hype instead of more ways to gain it.

I think these are all good ideas, except for the blitzer stuff...
