    Them's Fightin' Herds

They've said they're only doing hoofed animals to start out hoping we get a predator in there somewhere as a stretch goal.

    Them's Fightin' Herds

What is TBH, is that a typo? I'm pretty sure there's no shakesperean feud between whatever that is and sg players. It's like jewpuncher for blitzkamf.

    Them's Fightin' Herds

The /r/kappa thread is actually responding pretty well to it aside from the standard horsefucker jokes.

    Them's Fightin' Herds

My guess is the last one is the boss character and it's got wings or something so they can re use the 6th moveset. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how you do this. 10 seconds for a bnb is way too long for me, 5 seconds is about the max I would want to see if the game doesn't have a...

    Them's Fightin' Herds

To me long is anything that lasts longer than roughly 5 individual attacks or 3 seconds or something. I'm not disparaging long combos, as long as they serve a greater purpose. Skullgirls has resets, killer instinct has combo breakers, arcsys games have bursts and bursts baits, etc. If a game has...

    Them's Fightin' Herds

@Midiman I think they might be using dynamic lighting to do shading for them, I just meant that because the backgrounds are super flat it'll make the sprites look flat too, especially if they haven't implemented the lighting system yet. Who knows.

    Them's Fightin' Herds

It's an intentional style, powerpuff girls and my little pony are both very flat. The backgrounds are clearly not final though so that should give it more depth. The combonation of pushblock, undizzy, and long combos screams skullgirls to me, which is why I want to see how they are going to...

    Them's Fightin' Herds

oh yeah you're totally right didn't even think about that. Still, I see things like push block and undizzy-lite and I think skullgirls. I'm hoping they go in a radical new direction not just from SG but fighters in general, it's always good to see new stuff.

    Them's Fightin' Herds

I'm seeing these long combos and I'm hoping that there is a gameplay reason for them, be it resets or something else. Very interested to see how they distinguish themselves from skullgirls.

    Rising Thunder [PC]

made it to legend. Definitely had the hardest time against crow and edge.

    Rising Thunder [PC]

Crow is very strong but also the hardest character to use. A good crow will keep you locked down the whole match. Maybe start with a different character. Talked to one of the cannon brothers at pax, they're still debating whether to make offline play possible. I don't think it's a valid option...

unfortunately the sidegrades aren't well balanced. Talos has two of each specials but only one of each is actually worth using.

    Rising Thunder [PC]

You're crazy, he's absolutely bottom tier. Usage wise yes he gets a ton of play, but that has nothing to do with how strong he is. Sure s1.2 beats some, not all, jump ins, but then I have to give up a ton of damage and mix up opportunities. Backdashing isn't free, you have recovery frames that...

    Rising Thunder [PC]

Talos is getting really screwed with the alternate attacks. s1.2 is a situational anti air that he really needed but not picking s1.1 makes s2.1 useless because you cant charge and fakeout. Armor isn't scary at all in this game, especially because his armored attacks are all super punishable...

    Rising Thunder [PC]

So they made the kinetic bar visible to both players which is nice. Still would like to see move cooldowns too.

    Rising Thunder [PC]

Yeah, rising thunder is a special case, and if they're going to throw other conventions out the window they have to go all the way and be creative with other aspects of the game. I'm a huge fan of the single button specials and all that but it effects every other aspect of the game and I don't...

    Rising Thunder [PC]

I understand how they work, I just hate them. I think invincibility on all supers is really stupid, especially one button supers. They really shouldn't be like ultras supers, they should be balanced around the unique control system.

    Rising Thunder [PC]

Yes, I think the super system needs to be re worked. as for stun, people will defend literally anything.
