I never finished the game because those Giant Underground Worms use to destroy me! Nier is a game that I feel is super underrated. Glad that it's getting a sequel, and being developed by Platinum Games as well. I'm ready for another Yoko Taro roller-coaster of emotions.

SMRPG's attack timing mechanic is still one of my favorites. It could be utilized for both offense and defense, and made it possible to finish the game (for the most part) without needing to grind because almost every enemy attack was blockable as long as the player timed it correctly.

Let's not forget that Marvelous was involved with Muramasa the Demon Blade (Vanillaware) as well as the PC port of SG too, so that might actually be a possibility if they got some connections
