Steam - Windows 2 Doubles on the same team

So I just played against somebody on PC quickmatch who "doubled up" on double here...has anybody else experienced same character teams yet? It really threw me off!

GameStop bought them out I think and turned it into Canadian GameStop?
We don't have GameStop in Canada, only EBGames.
I think GameStop.com redirects to EBGames if you're in Canada.
