PC Beta Friend suddenly assigned my macro 1 team at char select

I can promise you Scorpio is NOT trolling or anything. This was.. odd. He hasn't played in months, doesn't know my team at all, and is a solo Squigly or Bella player.

We started a round, it booted him to lobby, it sent me to a match timeout (seen below) and then at character select next round.. wham. He gets my team. Haha? Uhhh.
