[ 7/22/2015 ]
After several weeks of playing this with a competitive mindset. I attempt to set out to give this sort of log a try. My current team is ELIZA / PAINWHEEL / CEREBELLA.
After several matches with one of my sparring partners, @DoubleOrNothing, I finally let it click in my head that I can comfortably observe and keep attention on all meters displayed on screen. I feel comfortable now that my combos, which are really just simple BnBs, are influenced with a Darkstalkers 3 : Vampire Savior state of mind of consistent and brutal aggression in the corner. Bearing in mind the other mechanics I have made use of such as PBGC and Alpha Counter [ I have yet to really utilize it well ] have benefited me tremendously. As a veteran of rather incredibly old fighters such as the aforementioned, Street Fighter III Third Strike, Super Turbo, Samurai Shodown V Special, what have you, I can finally say that I am also adjusting to this game well enough to not simply be a fool and get rushed down. I can still put up a fight now.
For my first entry, I had a great set with a solo Bella belonging to @Broseidon Rex. One of the painful gripes I have with my team currently is that I feel I have an assist crutch for the time being where I almost use Cerecopter exclusively for my pressure and rushdown. I am thinking of perhaps using Painwheel as a projectile when I'm full screen to make for openings and the like but the multi-hit normal seems to be my strong suit. I am having a much stronger time rushing my opponents down calculatingly with enough safety to bait this and that both on block and any time they are neutral with some kind of invulnerable DP such as Cerebella's rockin' pose thing. [ I never remember the names, yet anyway ]. Playing him has cemented the fact that it's time I learn some real heavy hitting combos on my confirms to really capitalize and make the necessary dent as it seems solo characters have a bizarre amount of HP that takes forever for a TRIO team to drain.
As such, I'll just have to git gud and learn real combos and... Debate if I should stick to a trio team or have faith in a duo one to make an impact. I feel like I am still absolute garbage at the game but I think I might finally be onto something...
