Hi guys, we had an incredible turnout at the last alpha clash.

Alpha Clash 8

Macro Micro Gaming presents Alpha Clash 8! Alpha Clash is a monthly tournament for Super Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Super Smash Brothers Melee, and Skullgirls!

Once again we are looking for individuals to volunteer to bring your melee set up. A set up includes a lag-less monitor, a gamecube/wii, the super smash bros melee game, and all necessary cables. If you do bring a set up you must email or message Jeffrey Moon before AC8 and confirm. All confirmed set up bringers will have theirvenue fees waived.

*Venue fee is only waived depending on availability of space. Set ups will be received on a first come first serve basis*

If you want to play casuals you must pay venue fee.

$10 Venue
$10 Tournament

Prize Payout: 70/20/10% to first, second, and third.

Approximate Event Schedule:
5-7PM Event setup & Sign up
7PM - 10PM Tournament play

Tournament rules below.

Tournament Rules:
-UMvC3 will be run on PS3. AE 2012 will be run on Xbox. Melee will be on Gamecube/Wii.
-If any tournament has less than 8 players, prize pool will change to 70%/30%.
-Bring your own controller. Macro Micro Gaming will not be held responsible for your personal belongings.
-After a game is concluded, winning player must keep their character/team.
-Losing player has the option of changing character/team.
-Game breaking glitches are banned
-Programmable controls are banned, though Macro Buttons are allowed.
-Pausing will result in a game loss unless opponent chooses to resume.
-Tournaments are double elimination.

Skullgirls Rules
-Played on PC(it would help if you brought a setup)
-Best 2 out of 3 until Winners Semis and Losers Semis
-Double Elimination w/ Extended Series Rule
-Played on the latest live patch on steam
-All characters and stages are allowed


SSF4 Rules
-Played on Xbox.
-Best 2 out of 3 per game.
-Best 2 out of 3 per set.
-Grand Finals / Winners finals will be best 3 out of 5 per set.
-Random stage will be selected unless both players agree on a specific stage.

UMvC3 Rules
-Played on PS3
-Best 3 out of 5 per set.
-Grand finals will be best 4 out of 7 per set.
-Must be played on Training stage.
-Normal mode
-Auto Super Jump Off

SSBM Rules
- Played on Gamecube or Wii
- 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games
- Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
- Counter-pick Stages: Pokémon Stadium.
- Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
- First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
- Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
- Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
- Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
- You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
