The first one seems simple (unsure how hard it would be to implement) but to have the icons of a person's macro team or most often used team in underneath their name in the lobby.
Or
If the option to decide which match you want to watch given the choice (say 4 people start when a fifth person just joins and could only watch), have the selected team composition of each player in each match visible. That way, if someone wants to watch more squigly or something, they can pick the match that has a squigly in it.
Just some thoughts.
