- Mod Info
As the name says, this little mod downscales the 2D backgrounds to a quarter of the original resolution, I made this months ago because this is the only way I can play Skullgirls at fully stable 60FPS (yeah, I can move GTA IV at 60 FPS but not Skullgirls), maybe for someone, this comes handy, that's all for this thread, see ya'll later.

- Comparison
Before
After

- Installation
It's quite simple, actually.

1.- Have SkullMod & the mod file prepared (You can get the latest SkullMod from my other post)

2.- Locate the game root folder
( This can be achieved in Steam, right-click your game > Manage > Browse local files )

3.- Locate the file levels-textures2d.gfs and make a backup of that file

4.- Drag & drop the file levels-textures2d.gfs into the GFS unpack.bat, it should pop up a command line window, like this:

Let it finish, because it will take a while, once done, you can proceed

5.- Now you should have this folder

6.- Now, open another explorer window, locate the mod file, extract the Quater Res 2D Backgrounds.rar file using Extract to option

7.- Enter the folder once, you will see another folder named temp, now drag & drop the temp folder from the extracted rar to the temp folder of the game root, it must ask you to replace:

( sorry, it's in spanish, but yeah, move and replace all files )

8.- Once moved & replaced, go back in the game root (where the other gfs files are located), and drag & drop the levels-textures2d folder into the GFS pack.bat file inside SkullMod, it should popup a command line window, like this:

9.- Then, the gfs file size now must be incredibly small, compared to the original one, since i reached the maximum attachable files lol, i will leave here a KB comparison:
Modified GFS size: 18,367 KB
Original GFS size: 293,133 KB

10.- Then, delete the modified levels-textures2d folder, to keep the game root clean, also delete the mod rar file and close the explorer windows, now launch the game and it should look like in the comparison.

11.- Profit?

That´s all for this thread, thanks for reading and see ya'll later!

Update v1.1:
- Added Boardwalk stage

Update v1.2:
- Added Preinstalled version (just the .gfs file!)

~ Thanks to WesleyMicael for the idea!!
