Im beginning to have this theory why the skullgirl thing happens (why it makes it impossible for an unselfish wish ect)
The Skullheart is the heart of the Great Mother herself
you know that big silhouette Marie has in her battle? that could be that of the great mother.
The Great Mother wants to destroy the world so she can rebuild it in HER image.
But she can't exist in it as she is now,
so she needs a host, so she took a part of herself cast it down to earth to find a woman who would be foolish enough to wish upon it
when she does, she becomes a vessel for the Great Mother
The Problem however is this; no skullgirl so far has been a successful host,
most had their own souls driven out but weak,
or some such as marie had too much of a Strong will to attack everybody
