Valentine Cerebella
The latest patch to the Steam version of Skullgirls dropped earlier today and included most of what was shown in Salty Cupcakes this week. As usual, MikeZ posted a full list of changes on the Steam News page for Skullgirls and you can check them out below.

I've also included a full gallery of the new IndieGoGo Guest NPCs and color palettes for Ms Fortune, Valentine and Squigly after the break.
[prebreak][/prebreak]
Lobbies
- Queen of the Hill improvements:
-- Everyone will all cycle correctly now.
-- Proper display of streak when you join a lobby.
-- If the Queen is unready for 20 seconds, she loses her crown. That way they can't hold up the entire room.
- All-play: If the match is a draw, it goes back to the lobby now. No more auto-rematch

General
- Add animated Indiegogo backer NPCs to Casino! 5 different NPC layouts that rotate, also present in the 2D versions! The layout will not chnage on Play Again if you just chose Casino, but it will change if you re-pick the stage and it changes each time the Casino comes up from Random. Layouts are not quite final...
- Started adding Indiegogo backer colors! Color 19 for Valentine, MsFortune, and Squigly is now available. (edit: Backer colors are all FREE, you don't have to buy anything new.)
- AI now will burst from max-Drama sparks. Thank you person who pointed this out in the last patch note comments. (Remember I called it Drama? Heh.)
- Fix crash when choosing Restore Defaults from button config in a single-player match. Oops.

Cerebella
- If Run was input during hitstop, can now hold the button for a followup attack and it will come out. Er, in normal-speak: s.HP xx Run->Kanchou is now much easier, just hold the button for the Kanchou.

All arguments as to why anyone should not play Skullgirls are now invalid.
There were 3 new palettes included in this patch, which are the first of many free palettes that were designed by those that donated to the Squigly IndieGoGo campaign. These palettes are completely free of charge to everyone!

Also during the Squigly IndieGoGo Campaign, for tiers starting at $1000 dollars, donators were able to submit their own Non Player Character to be shown in the background of a stage. These characters were then drawn by members of Lab Zero and animated by both LZ staff and volunteers from the community. There are 42 new NPCs added to the River King Casino. This number is of course far too many for a single stage, so now every time you select the Casino it chooses one of 5 batches of NPCs to populate the stage with. Here are all the NPCs arranged by the sets they appear in game.

Also, I'm trying to create a full list of who commissioned each NPC and who that NPC actually is. Please check out this thread and help me out if you can!

I'm sorry Shaggy Gentleman Spider-guy, but you are now replaced by Badass Cyclops Guitar Dude as my favorite NPC that's not Zone-Tan.

It seems a bunch of the previously revealed characters were moved to Glass Canopy. Zone-tan, Sanshee-tan, Cupcake-chan and at least 5 others I know of.

I would imagine it's because the three I named there all had very minimal animation compared to the ones shown in the stage (Zone blinked, the other two had their skirts ruffle slightly). They may be getting reanimated or something.

Issat beatrix? did someone really pick beatrix as their background character?

That Orchid palette is pretty much persuading me to try and learn Ms. Fortune whenever in the next decade the console patch arrives.

Guile Dog too OP. nerf plz

Epic Guitar Man is best NPC. I refuse to play in the stage if he's not present.
Lots of great ones but my overall favorite set is 3.
Top 3 favorite NPCs: Epic Guitar Man, B&W Lady from S4 and Kawaii Onryou from S5.

Why is there what looks like a lady Garrador in a dress in Set 4? Proteus Joe is pretty awesome.

lol If only I can see "Best Dog Ever" can animation Flash Kick in background stage my life will be complete.

With all those NPCs this will be a very interesting casino, to bad there is no Hawaiian shirt wearing guy with sandals on with a straw hat and cargo shorts it would have been especially funny if it was a Dagonian, but these are backers NPCs and I doubt they would waste their one character on a silly joke that would lose its appeal over time anyway. They all look good and thats all that matters and I really hope the backers enjoy them just as much as I will when I play on the stage.

Check the left side of the stage at one of the slots. He/She's there. Or was this a joke?

Is that a Chun-Li corgi

My will to live has reached the celestial limit; I will never die
Corgis are smaller and on't have such long legs.

Now why would you go and crush someone's dreams like that.

That sounds like a joker thing to say.

Besides my NPCs, who I think are the absolute coolest, epic guitar guy, Proteus joe, b&w lady and the dogs are some of my favorites

Am I able to get someone to give me a link to a page where it has a list of what palette colours refer to what games if possible?

We were actually told to keep the NPCs in formal attire. Some of the NPCs still dodged that rule, but for the most part that's why everyone is dressed up.

You certainly are!

Speaking of which, where is Zone-tan?
ZONE-tan wasn't there amidst the others because she wasn't animated yet. There was a little confusion over whether I would be animating her or not (I really didn't mind either way), but that has now been resolved.

She is now finished and will probably appear in the next patch, or if she's going to appear in the ballroom, whenever that is ready.

Thankyou ever so much, now if I can ask one last tiny little question ^.^ Is Vice-Versa based off the newgrounds beat em up "Dad n Me" because he certainly looks like it.
The oldest Cerebella art I've seen dates from the same year as Dad n Me, which means she was probably floating around in Alex's sketchbook long before that.

Wait, Dad n ME? As in that flash game from a while ago? That was Ahad? If so that's awesome. If not, it was still cool to be reminded of that game.

No, he was asking if Alex based his design for Bella on Dad n Me. Alex didn't make DnM.

Oh I see. Thanks for clarifying.

All of these NPCs look great! Will there be a feature added that lets us choose which NPC set we get on the stage?

You mean choose which individual NPC to appear in the stage? Doubt it. They explained they all come in sets and appear in a specific order every time you select the stage after the character select. Rematching after the fight doesn't change the current NPC set though.

No, I get that, I was asking about the NPC sets. Like if I specifically wanted to play with NPC set four or something instead of rotating around.

I think her spiffy dress makes her more appropriate for the ballroom.

I don't think you can choose what set of NPCs that will be displayed unless you reset the stage until they show up. I'm not sure if that will go the same way for the ballroom stage as well once we cross that bridge.
