So I've been playing Skullgirls for the better part of a year now (off and on) but I picked it up a bit more seriously in the last couple of months. I like playing M. Fortune and starting to learn a little Painwheel too. Started out on PC but now I play a bit more on PS4 (so I can do the trials to learn and practice some new (to me) combos). Here's a little 'status' update of where I'm at in my play:
- So far my footsies are pretty mediocre
- Combo execution under pressure isn't too awful, I tend to input too fast (too hyped I finally got a hit confirm! haha)
- I typically play solo fortune, I'm not comfortable with assists at all yet, not to mention I can maybe do one super basic Painwheel combo
- The biggest issue I'm having with M. Fortune so far is comboing into Head Spike and continuing the combo.
- My headless M. Fortune is laughable, but at least I'm not in the habit of hitting QCB P when I wanted to do an Axe Kick
I'll update more with my time in the lab! I don't do matches online currently, I get bodied pretty hard and I don't feel comfortable with M. Fortune quite yet. I do play at a LAN get together in Columbus, OH every Tuesday, I've noticed a lot of improvements since the start but I have so much farther to go.
