As far as what they have in common, well, I like playing rushdown, preferably with decent speed and mixup. The last few years, I've shifted toward using females, usually those with some sort of tomboy or alt angle to them (except Tekken, where being normal is the alternative). I usually start with a character's design and then see if the gameplay feel works for me. I stay pretty loyal until that character changes or a new one catches my attention.
