Killer Instinct - Series in General

Aganos and Kan-Ra were also hits, they caught lightning in a bottle with Hisako, the past two were just very good concepts that made it to everything just fine.
Season 3 was basically the Apology to all KI 2 fans, they made Tusk Maximilian, and the only two characters that really stood out were Gargos and Eyedol, and that's because they were hilariously shitty before Iron Galaxy reworked their concepts to be cool (Giving Eyedol a Synthwave Horror-style theme helped too)
Now that they're on the Remix characters they just aren't as cool, Kilgore idea, design, and concept wise are cool (Old, shitty prototype of Fulgore with guns for arms and basically ED-205? That's awesome!), and I've already aired my greivances about Shin Hisako.
Bit worried about the third character, let's hope they pleasantly surprise us.

I have a mixed opinion about her. I think she totally looks fine and actually kind of cute as a zombie girl in the art. What gets me down is that there is a strange mix of creepy, cool, silly and bad look in her animations. I really like her opening animation actually. Her winning one not so much with the expression and voice. Also I don't understand the winning one much. Felt kind of like Kim Wu's.

I really like the redesigns too ('cept for Thunder, I feel like the mohawk gave him a rocker vibe to stand out from his archetype.
Personally, I think Thunder version 2 (or is it 3) from a few months ago is his best look, though I wish it had more alternate colors.

Hisako is the stand out overall because she represents a genius update of classic KI design principles, which can be simplified down to "I wish (popular genre movie character) were playable in a fighting game."

So Eagle got announced.

I also was finally able to pick this up, got the definitive edition, Hisako and TJ and as fun as they looked. Going to try RAAM next, dumb inclusion, but I can't ignore a grappler.

How is Shin Hisako?

Shin Hisako is ooook. she's got a really cool instinct special but she lacks a lot of the cool stuff Hisako has. If you like Rushdown with zoning mechanics retro-fitted in, she's cool. I dunno how she is tier-wise though

Oh Eagle looks so cool~☆
☆ ‿ ☆)

Wonder if the guy will play like green arrow does in injustice 2 or Like Kung jin does in MKX ╹‿╹)
(Might not like mkx but the peeps in it and the combos they can do are still pretty cool ◠‿◠)
Though from the looks of it, his machinery is gonna play a big role in how he plays so he might
have a dash of Fulgore for good measure. ╹‿╹)

Oh, this guy gonna be so sweet! ◠‿◠)

Wow, The guy is awesome! ◠‿◠)
His playstyle reminds me a ton of Fillia with Fukua's or Parasoul's projectiles mixed in and
personally, I just like how mobile the guy looks ╹‿╹)

Loyal customers will be eligible to perks, as Jebailey mentioned that all those who have the Definitive Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will be able to download the new character Eagle on top of Shin Hisako and Kilgore for free with the rest of the game.

The fact how friggin annoying Windows Store is to use was a big reason I didn't end up getting this game.

Maybe it will change now.

Mira is the perfect choice for him

since her moves deal self-damage, she has to be responsible with her powers

Killer Instinct is now available on steam! It is 25% off also! All the characters are available so grab it now!!!!

It's in and i already bought it. About the driver and xinput, send them a mail or a forum post. i'll do so after installing and testing my old hori umvc3

I swear they said definitive edition owners got the Steam version, or implied it. Maybe my memory is off. If it's the case it's disheartening, I was looking forward to actually playing the game more than once every several months when I felt like putting up with Windows 10.

Q: Is the game cross-buy? Does my purchased content carry-across platforms?

A: The Steam ecosystem is completely separate from the Windows Store and the Xbox Store, and therefore content does not carry across. We want to give gamers the choice of where to play – so if you love Steam and prefer to play with your Steam account, you now can.

From the Q and A right before it was released

Yeah, I know, that's what I'm saying is disheartening. The statement I'm referencing is from back in June.

Nope, all they did was announce it and said more info was to come.

The only thing that would be anywhere close was a bunch of people wondering if it would be cross buy but nothing official.

No, actually, I just discovered I could scroll up this page and see the literal quote I was referring to. The wording wasn't fantastic, but I shouldn't have attached myself to an idea that sounded too good to be true.

So what wording was it?

Scroll up.
Oh, so that's the quote you were talking about? I thought maybe they'd said something ambiguous but it does say right there nothing carries over.

"...all those who have the Definitive Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will be able to download the new character Eagle on top of Shin Hisako and Kilgore for free with the rest of the game."
Where does that say "nothing carries over"? Saying "if you own the definitive edition you get the new characters for free with the rest of the game" seems pretty easy to interpret as you get the Steam version. Again, I should have known better, but that's ambiguously worded enough.

Ah, I see now. I usually view this site on mobile so I thought you meant Shorydouken's post, not one from back in June.

The game being announced for Steam and Eagle being free for people that owned the Definitive Edition were two seperate announcements, not connected. The article makes that a bit more ambigious than when Jebailey actually announced it. I mainly remember it since I saw it first hand.

They even added further clarification on Eagle's availability a couple of weeks after.

Fair enough. And saying wording is ambiguous, especially in this case where it is only a bit so, still means I fucked up. I'm not on some tirade about not getting my free game I was never promised, just disappointed that I had thought this whole time I was getting the steam version free since I bought the complete other version. I may still pick it up eventually, the game is cool and there is a lot to like, I would like to play it more often.
