Indivisible Ideas Thread - No L0 developers Allowed <3

I just want support convos between incarnations. You know, like in Fire Emblem.
Oh, maybe we can have the fancy-pants archer and the hairy axeman compairing their kill counts in battle!

I wonder about how many base animation each incarnation is gona get. plus i just want to list all the animations ajna has right now that i can find.
Highlighted things are things each incarnation will probably get. Highlighted listings are things i didn't find in the protoype but are things both ajna and/or the incarnations may get.

back turned animation looking at scenery -
dress shorten animation and turn around transition -
stand idle -
stand to crouch transition -
crouch to stand transition -

jump - (she doesn't seem to have a jump squat animation)
jump to fall transition -
fall -
fall forward -
Mid air turn left/right -
wall jump -
landing -
Talk to npc/being talked too animation -
stand punch 1 -
stand punch 1 to idle transition -

stand ax swing -

jump ax swing -
Jump ax swing to wall ax hang transition -
wall ax hang -
wall ax hang to jump transition -

Land on ground after launch transition-

lying on ground idle to idle transition -

idle to battle idle stance -
battle idle stance -
battle idle stance turn left/right -
blocking idle -
blocking being hit -
up attack - ( like ajna jumping round house kick)

up attack 2,3,4,... - doing attacks with the same direction leads to a string of hits with that button
neutral attack - (like ajna standing kick)
neutral attack 2,3,4,... - doing attacks with the same direction leads to a string of hits with that button
down attack - (like ajna crouch punch)
down attack 2,3,4,... - doing attacks with the same direction leads to a string of hits with that button
ax up attack -
idhi attack 1 -
idhi attack 2 - and by this i mean a different animation not a stronger version of idhi attack 1
idhi attack 3 - and by this i mean a different animation not a stronger version of idhi attack 1

right now it seems incarnations have 16 animations including transition stuff.

-prepares multipost proposal for everything about Naga Rider-

We already has a lot of incarnation from an incredible range forms and cultures. To me, only a man-travesty and a beautiful fat lady are need to be made to get a perfection :D

(we already has a woman-travesty, Qadira)

i'm not sure i understand what you mean by travesty.

An incarnation that controls a wooden puppet or is a crazy fisherman would be pretty sweet imo.

Travesty as like a man who uses "normaly female" vestiment or a female using "normaly male". Can be or not a homossexual.

Moved from the Gameplay Discussion thread.

"Yo, I'm letting my friend type up something here cuz SH keeps thinking his information looks like spam whenever he tries to create a profile. I'll probably also let him find out who he needs to contact about that after this"

[ "Hi, this is Nathaniel. I wanted to repost my thoughts from the Indigogo comments section on here back when I first thought of them, but apparently this site hates new members.

Anyways, while reading Tatanga's character profile back during his incarnation update, I found myself thinking their story could be the center of their own game. In fact all of the incarnations feel like they'd have their own individual stories to tell, which again got me thinking: what if after Indivisible is fully funded (fingers crossed!!), Lab Zero were able to expand the main game with DLC "Game Levels" staring some of the incarnations in their own games? Think about it, each incarnation could have their own style of game: a 2D S'mup game for a character like Zebei, other characters could star in a combo-brawler type level, a "Ghosts 'N Goblins" styled brutal platformer, a runner-inspired game for Lanshi or Yan (suggested by solblade44), you name it!

Indivisible has the unique potential to take advantage of these unique characters to present extra content in ways not limited to the original game, all achievable with some minor tweaks to what's already in the base game.

Which brings me to my second "DLC" idea: a Single-Button "Party Fighter" mode staring a select cast of the available incarnations. Once again taking advantage of the colorful cast, Lab Zero could bring a bit of their expertise in Vs fighters to create fun little fighting game into Indivisible with just a few tweaks. I mean they already 4 characters on the screen at one time, what if each incarnation could be controlled separately between 4 players locally on the couch? A super meter already exist for charging a super move right, it would just need to be split/duplicated for each character. One button would be to jump and one would be for their attack (still using cool-downs depending on the directional input), and one button to activate their super once the meter is filled. A player would be KOed when their health reaches zero. It could be a fun "Smash Bros" mode to play with your friends to add to an already amazing looking game.

What are all your thoughts on these ideas? What type of Micro Adventure would you like to see for an incarnation? Do you think Indivisible could work as a Smash Bros-like Party Fighter? Let SolB know :P

Thanks again for letting me use your account buddy! Hopefully this site can get their spam filter to respond better to new members ><" ]

I do wonder, since all the enemies are based on monsters or creatures native to the mythologies of each region, if any cryptids could be used as potential designs.
So like, in the North American parallel you could fight versions of Bigfoot or the Skunk Ape, or something like the Flatwoods Monster or the Jersey Devil. Or in the Mesoamerican sections you might find Chupacabras. Or in a Congo like area there'd be a Emela-ntouka type monster or something.

seems plausible to me but they may be trying to use less well known monsters. Besides the hair monster thing in the prototype I hadn't heard of any of the monsters they have announced in the campaign.

I also would love it if Naga Rider is eating a salad and then suddenly his fight theme plays.

Had some more thought on stuff I thought would be fun:
Lelani Super: Raises her weapon into the air, spins up and subtly takes on the appearance of a dorsal fin, charges in with a leaping strike, and the outline of a shark (ala Razmi's tiger attacks) leaping out of the water and savaging the victim is superimposed over her.
Kampan Super: Uses her giant mining fist to strike with a haymaker, then morphs it into a drill and pierces the enemy.
A pile banger would also be cool.

A pointless, but kinda fun addition, would be having secret codes akin to those in Metroid 1 (Justin Bailey anyone?) to unlock Incarnations, weapons, costumes, etc. at the start of a run.

If rope girl isn't a knot-using witch I'll cry.
Like, seriously; I've always wanted a magic user who uses witches' knots but so far I haven't found anyone TT^TT

Something i want for boss battles is to use both the "in battle" mode and "out of battle mode" that takes place multiple times at multiple points on the stage. Like the boss will run around attacking you but not entering "in battle" mode and you can do the same thing to him. after a certain number of hits you enter "in battle mode". after you do a certain amount of damage you enter "out of battle" mode again. the boss will try to find places on the map that make it easy for him to knock you off or be accompanied by other monsters.

Mike has mentioned this and how he really does want to make that idea possible. So multi-phase boss battles just might be a thing.

Anyone else besides me want Kampan to have a british accent? She kinda screams English industrial revolution to me.

So, I've had this idea for a while to use in a setting or something maybe, here might as well be the place to put it after the "if I had $5,000" speculation in the main thread:

Atomic Radiation in a Fantasy setting. Call it "the earth that burns" or something. Uranium Elementals a la Order of the Stick's Titanium. All building up to Hiazmat, the five-headed atomic dragon!

Funnily enough, I thought of Hiazmat before playing Shadowrun: Dragonfall, which involved a dragon that got nuked.

Also, some sort of magic space station would be awesome. I'm a sucker for space levels.

Travesty as like a man who uses "normaly female" vestiment or a female using "normaly male". Can be or not a homossexual.
Just a note of warning that 'travesty' in general English has a bad meaning. I know the literal meaning is close to 'strange' but it's generally used to mean 'something odd in a very bad way'.
"If Indivisible is not funded it would be a travesty!"

The word you're looking for is "transvestite".

I'm kind of conflicted. On the one hand, I like the presence of romantic possibilities in games because I get a sick joy from avoiding them. It's like a cock-block version of Duck Amuck. On the other hand, I actually like this writing team, so I'm not sure I want to do that in this case. (Also, since the Incarnations are all in Ajna's head, would that make it technically a mindscrew?)

Oh, that's right.
Well now I'm starting to question myself.

Ajna getting all the Gurls. Most of them most likely wouldn't be full out relationships, like Pheobe acting more like a mother and Toko keeping Ajna at arms length. But still! I could see the potential datings!

Ajna becoming a coffee gurl for Kaldi's Cafe. or Ajna could be Baozhai's partner sailing the seven seas.

So today i came up with an """"OC"""" incarnation thats highly based off of the scots samurai we already have, i dont have her name yet but i think her weapon is pretty cool, its a bagpipe but instead of the pipes, its swords or katanas, it sound really dumb now that im typing it but i was sketching it earlier it looked pretty legit although my style is way different from L0

If i have a sketch that doesnt look like complete crap i'll post one later

What are ME and DA?

I was thinking a Disgaea love system would be a good way to go for character relationships.

I'm not sure if you know this but, uhhhh, bagpipes kinda sortaaaaa need holes to work, ya know?

Mass Effect/Dragon Age.

Here's an idea, don't know if it's been mentioned before: Ajna's strongest Incarnations influencing her personality in cutscenes.

Wait, why do I keep trying to make this Incarnation process creepy? I want you inside me. Good, good, fight me harder, I'll use that strength against my enemies!

Since there are plans for guard breaks i hope every character gets a guard broken animation and not just a graphic that i see most other 2d games do.

A low on health animation would be cool too. and that animation will affect the timing of your combos since your character is tired.

Being low health affecting combo timing would be bad though. Youd need to memorize 2 characters worth of timing, and it just seems like Itd be a poor design choice.

Itd be cool if doing certain side quests changes previous areas or added new enemies or secrets.

I thought that was how Metroids worked? "Find the thing, flip the switch, the fire level is now a cold steel level." At least that happened in one of the Megamans that Lab Zero streamed.

Well I meant doing specific side quests. Like old areas getting new enemies, or that construction worker you helped power up his digging machine smashed a wall that leads to a new Rion with a secret or two. All not including the normal area tranformation You get via exploration. Just stuff to spice up old areas in case you visit them again

I just hope that there's something akin to the Tales series skit system. It would be great way to expand on character interaction and it would be, from what I can assume, a fairly easy way to implement.

Tatanka needs wrestling moves.

Also this song.
