Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Good to know we have our finalized roster! 25 is a good number and honestly exceeded my expectations. Some cuts are sad, but I'm glad we wound up getting a pretty big number of ones shown during the campaign.

Antoine looks great! He was one of my longshot hopefuls and I'm glad he made it. Looking forward to seeing the write ups and new info on all the other incarnations as well.

I'm gonna make a quick list of where each incarnation was revealed just in case anyone wants to find em.
In Backer Preview: Tungar, Razmi, Zebei, Dhar, Gingseng and Honey, Qadira
Blog post on the indivisible site: Ren, Zahra, Kampan, Naga Rider, Latigo, Yan, Nuna, Baozhai, Phoebe
Animation Streams: Thorani, Leilani, Lanshi, Sangmu, Kushi and Altun
Twitter: Antoine

Unsure (Had animation stream): Hunoch and Xiboch

That should be all 22, I think.
8 guys, 13 gals, 2 animals, and a radish

Thanks for this, I was a bit fuzzy on some of the breakdowns.

RIP Narssus...again.

Kinda sad to see two of my faves (Kogi and Toko) are not making it...
But really happy to see Antoine's new look? He looks so cool and dashing! Really love the new design.
Also hey, that means we got 3 characters we know nothing about and that makes it pretty exciting to me.

also yeah this reminds me we should really update the speculation thread now....

Honestly I had always assumed Kogi wasn't playable. The write up was entirely about his cooking wasn't it? I figured he was part of the town, and he has some function there were he gets better at cooking over time or something.

i'm still holding onto hope that hunoch and xiboch are bosses and not playable characters (ravidrath did say one slot is left open)and that there is still a spot for either narssus, kaldi, tatanka, or hassam (or maybe it will be a fusion of some of them like they did with antoine.) also, i will say that antoine is awesome now, before him and george just looked kind of boring (generic spear knight and generic gentlemen fencer) but now that they've done the fusion dance together we get the awesome elegant high class dragon slayer knight.

Ravi also said that he was pretty sure all 22 playables have been revealed and by process of elimination Hunoch and Xiboch are probably playable (Since Zubaz is definitely a boss).

I'm gonna start hoping that all the cut characters become NPCs in some way. I'm pretty sure Kogi is going to be a Tai Krung NPC, the art for that area on the website has a chef's room full of peppers and garlic that is definitely Kogi's.

yes but then after sister act compiled the list of 20 completely confirmed characters and ravi mentions that they forgot about antoine, he then says there's one open slot, despite the fact hunoch and xiboch have been shown. plus while he did say that all 22 playables have be revealed in some way that could also include the incarnation images that were released during the campaign. so until they are definitively proven to be playable and not just bosses, i'm sticking with my idea that there's one more character before the backer characters.

though i will agree, that the cut characters should be re-purposed into NPCs or if the're feeling a bit generous maybe they could even become bosses.

I'm fairly sure I remember them saying at one point that anyone who doesn't end up being playable will still appear in the game in some form.

Aren't there also supposed to be non-combat Incarnations that'll appear in Ajna's Inner Realm? Kogi could have some cooking role there.

I think they were referring to BEFORE getting sealed in Ajna's head.

Talking of NPCs, I hope we get to see that cool blacksmith lady in the game.

And I am fine with guys like Kogi or Kaldi turning out to be NPCs... I mean, as long as they get a place in the game it's good for me.

I think it might be an accidental leak of new stuff in next backer preview. :P

Not a "leak," per se, but... yeah, a miscommunication with 505 resulted in them posting the wrong screens.

Ratna is the only new thing, but that's still unfortunate.

The 8th has crept up fast, really excited for the new build.

Still no lunix love? :(

Well this was really fun.
The idea to combine turn-based battle with classic 2D platformer dodging was genius and completely unexpected.
I didn't bother yet to check if there is anything new with secrets.

Really glad they came through on the Update as planned, and the new trailer is pretty cool!

The new stuff in the update is super fun, although now I really wish there was a NG+ because it takes a little longer to build everything back up.

Ack, cannot play the preview for all week end because i'm away ><

Also, this new trailer is amazing!!! Really really glad to see this game coming along and looking really great, I'm so amazed by all the great work you guys at Lab Zero are doing.

And really hyped to play the new preview now >< I guess I'll be avoiding the forums for now so I can avoid eventual spoilers..

Really liked the little cutscenes. Razmi's the best. Eat it, Ajna!.

And Baozhai's little grin when firing her cannons is adorable!

I've asked this question on Twitter but I want to ask here too just to be sure:

@Ravidrath consider me an oddity among the average player but I prefer my dash button to be mapped to X (Xbox Controller) instead of B, and I also prefer my "Battle Party Formation" to "Follow Battle Direction." As you may have guessed this causes a conflict in battle controls when I use a custom configuration. I haven't seen a solution in the options menu so please, may I suggest that you set an option for Battle Party Formation to ignore custom button configurations? That way a player can dash or jump with whichever button they please outside of battle and the controls during battle aren't all switched around.

I'm sorry if I'm tagging the wrong person but Ravidrath just seems to be the most active here.

...Well I found Qadira after doing almost everything else, and now I feel kinda dumb.

Also a mechanic for one of the new party members
I think Latigo's special Lvl 2 ammo is piercing, and does more damage on bigger enemies. It's insane on big guys, especially the new boss, with the amount of damage and meter gain you get from a juggle, but on smaller guys you can't get that... actually, maybe you can if you use Zebei or Tungar's area launchers on groups of them.

Yes, [Separate controls for battle and overworld] is intended. It requires a giant rewrite of the control code and a real control settings screen, so we didn't do it yet. (I didn't do it yet.) :^P
From a PM back in November when the first build dropped.

That is GOOD to hear, I had a feeling it was just difficult to implement so they haven't done it yet but I just wanted to be sure, thank you!

Yeah I remember asking Mike about it in like 2015 and he said they were going to do it. I guess it's just that complicated.

Double tap or the assigned button?
Yeah, I found it already. I sut thought that lion lonster will give me superrun, but turns out it doesn't.

Also there are some strange stuff in the Russian translation. Characters' names won't appear in the dialogue screens and Jar-head girl speaks as if she were male.

Alright, time to write a whole bunch of words about the new map we got.

OTixgs4.png

So everything looks to be on one continent. I think we'll still travel by boat to Tai Krung, the Iron Empire and Kaanul from the southern city.

Somehow, Mt. Sumeru is in the middle of the milky sea. I can't tell what that thing connected to it is; if it's a weird massive pillar or a path from the north. Either way it somehow exists smack-dab in the middle of the giant sea basin. We miiiight see the north of the continent; a while ago Ravi mentioned some lizardmen that know stuff about Mara. They could be on Mt. Sumeru though.

The south port city and those tablelands to the west aren't focused on, so we don't know what they are. Presumably Baozhai is in the port city.

I'm pretty sure it is. Alex was saying that this world is vertical. There are some celestial people who live on the top of the pillar. Although it'll be really strange to have the basin around it.
