It was foretold by Gyromancy -The Silent Hill thread

Konami isn't going to die, they still have the ddr franchise and that will still make money even when the company is long and dead.
I dunno. They haven't put out a home console game in the series since 2011, and their last worldwide game and third try at breaking into the mobile market died after about 8 months.

They stll make ddr machines iirc and at the end of the day, people who want to play that game seriously will go out to an arcade + it's just way better to play using a metal mat

I have no idea how old it is, but where I play SG locals in MA, they have a DDR machine that always has people playing.

Also the HD collection is really bad and buggy.

What platform did you play it on? I have it for PS3 and have had no issues with bugs, or anything really. Just curious, what makes it bad?

webpage blocked at work :( just hit the filter like 5 times in a row

my life is falling apart

Harry Mason plz

If I remember they handed the HD remake over to a company that primarily does mobile gaming?

Okay, just got a chance to read all the issues w/ the HD collection, I never experienced any crashes or hangs or anything like that and the audio never gave me issues either. It looks like there was a patch released for the PS3 version that fixed most of the issues listed, so I must have played after the patch was released. I didn't play the original versions for PS2, so maybe I'd have noticed more issues/differences if I had.

Either way, I'm still happy with it and find it 100% playable.

edit: ps2 not ps1

Guys, if any of you have a PS4 that has had PT on it, DON'T take it online. Even if you uninstall the game, the license check will fail, and you'll be unable to play any of your downloaded games.

I'm sure this'll get patched, but being the direct cause of blocking people from games they bought and downloaded has to cause some financial repercussions, right?

RIP Gradius, Contra, Goemon, Sparkster, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Metal Gear, Everything I Actually Like.

Hopefully they won't fuck up Yugioh. Last hope for the company!

I'm not talking video games, they're hasn't been a good Yugioh game since the DS World Champ days.

This is why I always try and buy the physical copy of a game on console. Crap like this makes my paranoia justified.

Konami can't possibly get worse tho,
right?

It would be damn hard considering they killed every franchise.

You blew it all up! Damn you to hell!

Torrent MGS5.

(I do not endorse piracy in any way)

Fuck the popo
DO IT BITCH

Nah forreal tho, how long are yall gonna talk about Knami fucking themselves up? Why not make a separate thread for that shit since it covers a few games? I'd rather talk about the actual content of Silent Hill. Btw I watched two best friends play SH2 and it looks good, but I only have the patience to play one game in the series so what should I play?

^^^ If you didn't finish watching that play through, try playing 2 alone at night time with the lights off. I think watching an lp of it might ruin the atmosphere though, dunno. 1 or 3 otherwise.

I already finished it, and I already watched part of another playthrough prior to that, the atmosphere was already "ruined" long before that. I never watched them play sh3 tho, I forgot that exists. Sounds like a plan.

Imma play SH2 at some point given how much I love survival horror, don't feel obligated to play any others right now.

Did they fix the "PS4 shat the bed if you had the game on your system even once" problem yet?

Rumors that Microsoft is going to buy 'Silent Hills' from Konami to save it from cancellation. If this happens I'd be ecstatic, but if it means it's going to be Xbox exclusive...I'm going to legit lose my shit

konami is actually nearly bankrupt guys lol

What's worse is Konami is far from bankrupt. They make most of their money in the slots. I bet their trying to turn all there series into Pachinko slots. Kinda funny to imagine a what if Skullgirls pachinko machine.

They probably make more money off the slots then the games themselves.

iirc they had a greater focus in the games for awhile, but given MGSV's budget, and the slew of recent pretty epic fails, I think Konami is realizing its time in the gaming industry might be becoming a sour one. However, the way they're pulling out is so very less than flattering.

there was a franchise here...it's gone now.

"I see that town.
Silent Hill.
You promised me you'd take me
there again someday.
But you never did."
