Well curious to see how the game will look now, i remember early footage wasn't too impressive.

If it is 5 Capcom characters and 3 Marvel characters, that's already a sign it might be fake
With MVC 3 they revealed a number on both sides, not skewing one over the other, I doubt they'd do that for this.
 
We've gone through newcomer and vet wants like 5 times now.

This dryspell hell is the worst.

a revamped Venom with some super sweet Grapple attacks would be cooooooooool

Spidey would be Rush Down with a mix of the web throw grapple. But Venom would be the slow heavy tank of a character powering thru stuff and slamming your face into the ground multiple times.

Chun-Li is boring, bland, and has virtually no story to make her stand out. Even Ryu has characters around him to make an interesting character, all Chun-Li has is anger at M. Bison killing her dad. Also her kicks are boring as Hell.
R. Mika is more interesting than her.

Anyway, defense of my opinion aside
I do kinda want costumes like what Ninja suggested, make them like Premium Costumes in Injustice 2, same moveset, but different dialogue, voice, and models
 
She has great design and costume, as does everyone in the original sf2. You can't beat the classics.

She had a very fun, dynamic footsies playstyle that marked her as one of the first "fast agressive types" in fighting game history, and when she was imported to the vs marvel series, she basically pioneered the "iad instant ovehread" playstyle that's been using in almost every air-dash fighting game since.

There's nothing boring about her kicks at all, and anyone who's played SF3 and watched the lavish animation there would and should rage at that comment.

I don't care about her fucking story, I literally don't know anyones story in sf despite playing super turbo a lot.

chun-li was fuckin' great in Alpha and III but now she's basically just a pair of boobs mounted on a pair of tree trunks that goes KUNG-FU BISON YATTA and it sucks i hate chun-li

Capcom forgot what quality was midway through the development of Fighting Jam. They've been slowly seeping into the abyss ever since. People with only a passing familiarity with classic-sf can understandably not see why these characters were icons to begin with.

This game is 9 times out of 10 going to look and play like hot garbage anyway, so maybe it's better for her legacy if she isn't party to this mess (she will be).

If Chris is really back I hope he's similar to his Marvel 3 incarnation. He's very fun as a point character in Ultimate and is very quotable.

also pls dont use his RE7 design

I need my my main Tron in it. Im surprised Bass has never shown up at all in the Capcom Vs series so I think he would be neat. Asura please for god's sakes please. And.... I dunno make some more original characters like Amigo or Ruby Heart.

this guy is basically one of the realest best heroes of Marvel cosmic.
he's so cool Odin made him his own hammer called "STORM BREAKER" just because Bill impressed Odin that much.
 
Beta Ray Bill is cool but hardly anyone cares about him so his inclusion in the roster would probably just be controversial to the general audience

If it wasn't for Chun-Li I would have never gotten to experience this moment come into fruition when I was a kid.

just make it so that all matches with squirrel girl take place off-camera

you still have control but no one can see what's happening, so if the other characters happens to down squirrel girl, it can't actually be proven

and if squirrel girl wins (which she inevitably will) you need to feature The Watcher in her winpose, declaring that the person that Squirrel Girl defeated is definitely the real deal and not a doombot, clone, or magical simulacrum

Hawkeye looks pretty weskery right now. Put him in a leather coat and I'd swear he was here for global saturation.
