Pokemon

Yeah supposedly, Steel has lost its resistance to Dark and Ghost. So in this new generation it loses two resistances (dark and ghost) but gains another (Fairy)

Fairy's gonna be epic.

Confirmed:

EDIT: There's also a few new Pokemon revealed, including the 2nd stages of the starters. It seems like some people want to be left out of the loop, so I'll just say check out Serebii if you're interested:

I originally read that those were megalutions of the first form starters, but realized shortly after it's just the second evolution. Not too happy about them right now to be honest however, the second evolution of pokemon are generally the ones people forget about so whatever :P

Eww, fennekin's evolution looks like renamon in a tutu.
And Froakie's mustache seperated. This is upsetting. I really wanted him to look like an old professor all the way through...

Whole lotta new info this time.
Really like a lot of it.
But good lord.
Chespin's second evo looks SOOOOOOOO SILLY

I KNOW!!! AGH! The FIRST time in 6 generations that I like the grass starter the most, and they gimme this shit? WHY?! Looks like Crash Bandicoot put on an acorn costume!

This final evolution better be fucking awesome. I have a sad feeling it'll end up Grass/Ground. Here I was hoping for Grass/Flying

If it makes you feel better, at least one other person on my DA Inbox is raging about it.

Fennekin's evolution is a cutie though
Gotta agree with a previous comment here and say that fennekin looks like it's got a tutu on... I mean, so does kirlia, but that was intended... This is just disgusting.

So yeah, the only second evolution I approve of right now is Froakie's. It actually looks sinisterly cool. And it knows Bounce like a REAL MUTHAHFUCKIN FROG BITCH

EDIT: And I then realized that Team Flare wants to make the world beautiful and I really like this team. They probably started the entire team after they saw Chespin's second evolution.

Sableye and Spiritomb now have a weakness to Fairy.
Poor Hydreigon now has a 4x weakness. Fairy = Hydreigon wall.

I very much look forward to these new developments.

fennekin master race

Fire will always be the best, guys, come on. Guys.

Fire is consistently chosen more than any other type. It's ridiculous.

Water master race (especially if Froakie get swift swim dream ability [or even drought ])

Well I like it because Cyndaquil was my first Pokemon and I've bonded with my Typhlosion on a Maxed Sun Arcana level. Come, Typhlosion! Maragidyne!

But yeah, I love me some Fire. Every Pokemon under the type I dearly love. I even like the "glass cannon" nature they have. The "it's all or nothing" style is very fun for me.

but fire dies to water

Lol, Sunny Day+Solarbeam. GG

Rainy day+any water move (especially with swift swim or hi SDf)

solarbeam is so bad because you get locked into it for a long time if opponent switches in a tyranitar or something

also in terms of starters i use everything but charizard, the gen 5 starters and meganium tbh

venusaur is still the best tho

Well Fire is still my favorite type. I'll always love it. Can't wait to run around Kalos riding my Rapidash, if that's allowed.

Fire Type for best type? I wonder what Stealth Rocks has to say about that.

I'm really hoping that there'll be a new ability that clears entry hazards when the pokemon is sent out. I like Fire a lot, but Stealth Rocks just makes me sad. Poor Charizard.

I always went with Fire or Water.
I legitimately never touched grass.
Chespin's EVO really isn't helping matters
But Chespin himself looks really appealing right? He's not half bad in terms of design. That's why I was all for him. Now... I'm just glad I get a second starter.

And Stealth Rocks are incredibly annoying indeed. At least we can hope to see SOME sort of return of the average fire type due to the Fairy type not being very effective against it. Then again that role would probably just be filled by Steel types anyways.

Fairy Type was gonna be pretty good,

Being a voucher for one of the rarest types in the game, I'm glad to see Fire making a comeback.

Stealth Rocks are way too good (IMO). They take out Fire, Flying, and Ice passively. It really kinda sucks for those times where you just want to make a single-type team for the fun of it, but then you realize that only one move can pretty much destroy the whole thing. And I feel really bad for Moltres and Articuno. Two birds easily killed with one Stealth Rock.

So basically OVERNIGHT we see the fall of dragons. And what makes it pitiful is the thing that's bringing them down: CUTE LEETLE FAIRIES!!! And now Steel types need more offensive moves. Iron tail, Steel Wing, Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash, Iron Head and that's about it in terms of decent steel type moves (with the addition of Gyro Ball for slower steel types)

I still don't like Steel XD

Poor Fairy Type.
Well Fairy is only resisted by fire, not weak to it. And considering that Fire really isn't a great defensive type, fairy is still in good shape. Though Steel could definitely get more use. And I just realized that Heatran just got even better. Wow.

Well traditionally, Heatran was a good switch-in for tanking various hits and with the absence of its Dark and Ghost type resistances, that opens a lot of doors for harder hitting Dark type hits. It doesn't totally wall those types of pokemon anymore and I doubt their prevalence would lower with this new type matchup opening up. Calm Mind Mismagius no longer has a worry in the world. In fact, I foresee Mismagius shooting straight up to OU.

Good stuff, I was considering picking up one, eventually. Love me some high Sp. Atk.

And Gengar might as well be Uber if it is able to learn a Fairy type move. Resistance to Fairy + STAB super effective Sludge Bomb = Please put me on your dragon team.

Definitely true, though I don't think the resistance change has been confirmed yet. But if it is true, Ghost types will definitely be a lot more dangerous. Which is good, because Mismagius is awesome. Heatran's will still see a lot of use, though. He'll be a great counter to Fairy, since he 4x resists them and has steel attacks that they're weak to. Chandelure could also be a cool choice too, especially with Shadow Tag. But he's less on the tanky side and more on the wreck people with massive SATK side.

It's been confirmed by pics of the corocoro mag. Steel loses its resistance to Dark and Ghost.

Use Gengar

NEVER. I will use Haunter with Evolite, though.

Whaaat why not? He's like my favourite pokemon, even before he was cool (Who am I kidding, he was ALWAYS cool)

Skarmory needs and evolution badly so that I can abuse eviolite on him as well.

The "other" new mewtwo form looks way better than the freeza-hybrid we saw before

Personally I'm glad Poison types will now be relevant considering they were only good against grass (which most of which are poision types as well). I actually might be able to use Arbak effectivly now :)

I guess I'm the weird one here who likes the other form a HELL of a lot better than this one. This one looks disgusting. At least the other one had a sleek look to it.

after looking at it more... I like ring headed mega-mewtwo over the new one.
