It’s finally back! This Black Friday (today!), Sheldon has a special weapon in store for Inklings with an appetite for heavy firepower. The Hydra Splatling. This puppy emits high-pressure ink like a fire extinguisher and has the longest range among Splatling-type weapons. Although it takes time to charge, the firepower will increase by charging it to the max. It comes with the Autobomb sub and Splashdown special. You can pick it up starting at 6 PM PT tonight, the same time that MakoMart opens its doors!
 
So there are a bunch of new songs in Squidbeatz that we don't have access to yet (we do have access to the five new battle themes)... and the Great Zapfish has disappeared from the tower again, not just out for one its usual flights...

Hopefully in Splatoon 3 the Octarians and Inklings will live in harmony. And a new enemy will take the Great Zapfish.

Discerning Inklings can’t stop talking about the band Ink Theory. This classically trained, all-female 6-piece band creates jazz and samba-inspired battle music. They owe their unique sound to a blend of academic music theory and modern sensibilities. Ink Theory’s eclectic approach makes them quite popular with young Inklings and middle-aged Inklings alike.
 
Japan is one step ahead of us. Maybe this might be the next stage after MakoMart.

The name of this stage is Devon Oceanographic Museum. It looks to be some sort of Museum. Not Museum D'Alfonsino, a different one. A historically scientific one. Could this reference Pokemon Generation 3 in ties with Devon Corp in Rustboro and the Oceanic Museum in Slateport? Just a thought. The developers said the stage will be there in January. And 2018 is next month.

I'm not sure what one step ahead means, the stage was already shown in the update trailer.
 
Also, in the trailer, is Arowana Mall coming back?

A new weapon arrives at Ammo Knights. Sheldon has the Glooga Dualies in stock starting December 1 at 7pm PT.

The Glooga Dualies are more than just a fun name to say. They're formidable weapons whose power increases immediately following a dodge-roll. Rounding out the kit is the Ink Mine sub weapon, that helps allies keep track of foes, and the Inkjet special.
...That better be a good main gun to take it over Enperry.
 
So apparently the spla2n art book came out and Japan and the entire community is flipping their shit about Pearl being 21 while Marina is 18.
 
Huh. I had no clue that Pearl was 21. I thought she was 18.
 
I'm surprised because that means she's older than the Squid Sisters.

Hey now I know someone IRL who is 4'10 and she's in her late 20's ADN she's an American. She said after a trip to Japan that some of the people were amused at being taller than an American adult.

TL;DR:
  • Clam Blitz
  • Lots of stage layout changes! Not gonna try to summarize them all, read the full notes if you want details.
  • Blaster movement penalty after firing reduced by 7f
  • Splat Dualies damage 28->30
  • Brella nerfs: narrower inking, +10% ink consumption, shield takes more damage from Blasters and Chargers
Also N-Zap 89 tonight, with Autobombs and Tenta Missiles. I'm all over this kit.
