Character Overview

I am trying to get started with Skullgirls. Right now, I am focusing on learning Painwheel thoroughly before doing anything. After this, I would like to leave the practice room to play actual matches. However, it would be helpful for me to have a general knowledge of all the characters. I don't mean knowing every character like the back of my hand, but knowing stuff like "this character's s.HP hits low", or "this move has invulnerable start up" etc, small but important stuff like this I should know. Is there a general guide that briefly goes over key highlights of every character? I haven't been able to find one.

Ok, thank you! On a side note, I currently am learning one midscreen BNB, one midscreen throw BNB, one corner BNB, and one corner throw BNB for Painwheel. Are 4 combos enough, or do I need to know alot of different combos? From my limited knowledge, I don't see the need to know a plethora of combos to be a competent player (I don't care about looking cool or showing off that I can perform 50 different flashy combos), because the BNBs do respectable damage (the corners do enough to OHKO in the corner, assuming it is against 2 or 3 character teams, since I play solo). Am I wrong, and should expand my combo repertoire?

When you're more experienced it's very important to know how to improvise since undizzy lingers after the combo ends and Skullgirls is a very reset heavy game, so being able to optimize your damage and always put yourself in the best situation possible is very big when you start getting really good at the game. However, for a start, I think only one combo that you can do consistently and can reset from is all that you need to pick up the pace and start figuring things out on your own.

Hell, I only learn one mid-screen universal combo per character I play, and I do ok. Learning more is preferable if you want to maximize damage, but I'd honestly prioritize learning more resets, first.
