Making this thread to keep track of my learning curve. Makes it easier for me to understand the game at a competitive and deeper level. Never really played fighters before (If you don't count Brawl or BlazBlue) and especially not on a serious and competitive level. After watching this years Evo, it made me want to get into a fighting game and my friend suggested me SG and I've been loving it ever since I got it. Already put in a solid 40 hours into the game in the span of two days. Let's see how far I can get into improving myself.
General
General
- Try each character, figure out their movesets and learn what they can do and what they can't do. Advantages, weaknesses, hitboxes, etc. (Literally just play the tutorials)
- Find out which characters I want to main and stick with them. Preferably 2 characters at first and then move unto 3 as I get better at the game.
- Watch videos, search online, learn combos, understand the mechanics, practice until perfection.
- Get used to the keyboard because using a controller sucks.
- LEARN THE Z MOTION.
- Practice the basic standup combos.
- Learn to freaking use the grabs that she has access to.
- Love the character, but wondering if starting with her is a bit too advanced for a new player.
- Learn her moveset properly. So many different moves.
